Davidson's has guns in stock. They may have shut down the Gun Genie until they get caught up on orders.

Add, I just checked thru Gun Genie, Ruger, Handguns, Semi-auto, In stock. Got 46 different ones.

Looks like President Trump has put gun shops, gun and ammo manufacturers, as well as, shooting ranges on the essential business list. BREAKING: GOA and GOC Thank the Trump Administration for Designating Firearms Industry as Essential | Gun Owners of America

I was sweating it because all this mess coincided with my ordering a new Dan Wesson 1911. I knew it was at the local gun shop (one of the bigger ones in my city) and was determined to get my mitts on it before the governor shut virtually everything down. It required a couple of different visits - the first it was a madhouse with some woman standing in line with me announcing to everybody that she was there to buy a gun and bullets and she was not going to be put off, etc.
The next day it was a two-hour wait (they texted you when you could enter) but I finally got in and got my pistol. The place looked like the Red Army had come in one door and out the other, with the shelves almost bare of rifles and most of the handguns gone from the cases.
I got my Dan Wesson home and wiped both the case and the pistol itself off with a disinfectant cloth. No telling who's in there handling my nice new $1400 pistol.
Anyhow, it was a certainly a glimpse of things to come.....

The LGS has reopened because of that. Owner just keeps the # of people in shop limited to a few at any given time. Due to various reasons, the shop was closed for a couple of days at the height of the rush so he has some guns, even 9 mm semi's in stock. He says though, if he would have been open he would have been cleaned out like Sandy Hook.
My county has a few cases of virus but no "ramp up" in the frequency of incidence, yet.

Being retired & a gun guy, I frequent local shops several times a week. But since the virus & "stay at home" orders I haven't been to a shop in 2 weeks.

Are the shops still packed? I figured everyone would have gotten what they wanted by now.

I've been doing my part for the economy by buying on-line. Fed ex, UPS or Amazon are here everyday.

Likewise, I'm old & retired and I normally haunt the local (and some not so local) shops endlessly looking for that one last gun that will theoretically complete my collection.

I was lucky last month before (or while?) this whole big panic thing got going as I was able to make a very nice private purchase in a F-T-F transaction. But now it is this month and I'm starting to get the 'shakes' from my lack of visits to gun shops.

But things are pretty weird here in Massachusetts. First the gun shops were allowed to stay open... and then they weren't... and then they were again for about 2 hours... and then they weren't again.

Hey, it's Massachusetts! This is not a surprise! But then I thought: Hey, I can visit the shops down in Little Rhody to get my gun shop fix!

That was until I heard that the State of RI is not letting in cars with license plates from other states. You need to have an acceptable (to RI Gov't) purpose in traveling there and then you have to quarantine yourself for 14 days.

So the 'shakes' will continue for the time being. Such is life in loony moonbat Massachusetts

I am not retired, but I routinely hit the gun stores/pawn shops at lunch and after work. I do a lot of window shopping and tend to make those purchases when I find a super deal on something. Since I am working from home, I am not hitting them now and what do you know, I am saving money.

Our governor just issued the shelter in place order except for necessary services. It starts this evening at 6pm. However, on his order, it specifically stated gun stores are a necessity. Love living in the south.

I'm a retired guy......sort of, working part-time in a local gunshop. Luckily, the owner - who spent 4 days in the shop working with us during the recent stupidity - closed us. Till further notice.

Nice guy, who puts the health of his employees above the percieved "needs" of those too lazy/cheap/stupid to prepare adequately for an emergency situation.

Poor planning on your part, does not constitute an emergency on our part. And besides, there isn't any ammo left to sell and the distributors all say 6 to 8 weeks to fill existing orders. Let alone new orders. Regards 18DAI

Well, the dirty little secret here in MA (shhh, don't tell anyone): While gun owners here are screaming loudly for the shops to be allowed to re-open, the truth is that the larger volume shops are damn near empty of everything anyone would want in this crisis, including the TP in the men's room. It's almost comical. I mentioned earlier that our local Bass Pro had sold out of just about everything in the way of handguns except for some Ruger Single Actions.

Yes, there are principles and rights involved (I get that), but I'm certain that a whole lot of the larger shop owners are glad to be closed and sitting at home while the worst of this crazy global pandemic is on top of us.

Meanwhile, I should point out that some of the smaller shops with 07 licenses are quietly continuing to operate as they are, in fact, 'manufacturers' and thereby considered essential... yes, even here in moonbat Massachusetts.

Gun shops are allowed to be open here in PA with certain restrictions but my favorite announced a few days ago that they were closing till further notice. I assume that's because they have no inventory and no idea when resupply will be available.
