Default VA… WA…Voting. . . Handgunlaw. . . Updates

Virginia - Effective 7/1/20 HB421ER2 becomes effective allowing local Allows local government to control carry, possession, transport, and storage of firearms in government buildings, parks, recreation and community centers, and at permitted events, including adjacent streets. All areas with such restrictions must have signs posted at each entrance, exit, point of egress, or point of ingress. https://lis.virginia.gov/cgi-bin/leg...l+HB421ER2+pdf

Virginia – Effective 1/1/2021 Virginia will no longer accept training via Electronic, video or online courses. This is per SB263ER which can be seen at https://lis.virginia.gov/cgi-bin/leg...ul+SB263ER+pdf

Washington – Effective on or about June 12, 2020 SB 5434 will go into effect which makes Licensed Child Care Center Premises off limits except for storage and dropping off and picking up children. This applies even to were child care centers are being used Exclusively for such groups. http://lawfilesext.leg.wa.gov/bienni...20200415101703

Handgunlaw.us - We have added Massad Ayoobs Aftermath Shooting Video Link on our Main Page under “CCW/Carry Related Links.” This video complements the Link right above it titled “Don't Talk To Police.” These videos give you great info on what to do after you have to use your firearm for self defense. They are definitely worth the time to view.

Handgunlaw.us – Just a reminder. Gun Owners have taken it on the chin and even poked in the eye more than once this year in Virginia. One Gun a Month, Storage Laws, Universal Background Checks and more bad laws on top of more bad laws that don’t stop crime or punish criminals but punish the good people of Virginia. It shows that we have to vote and we have to vote for those who share our values. If we don’t we have a very clear picture of what WILL happen and it can happen anywhere!

Thanks for posting. Sadly, Virginia took a big step backwards in terms of our preemption law.
