Amazing LCP Mags!
I left a spare mag, fully loaded, in my jacket pocket and my wife ran it through the wash & dryer w/o knowing it was in there. Once I realized what happened I unloaded the mag & field stripped the mag. It looked OK so I put it together, reloaded the same ammo and took the mag to the range today. All six rounds went off and the mag worked perfectly (old model - no last round hold open). I’m impressed!

Generally speaking, going through the wash shouldn't impair the function of a magazine. The ammo continuing to function afterwards is semi-remarkable, as it means that the bullet was crimped into the case enough to make it water tight.

FWIW the ammo was the old Federal 90 grain HP that still comes in 50 round boxes.

Most modern production ammo is pretty water proof whether it has
visible primer sealant or not. Several years ago I tested a variety of
handgun ammo by leaving rounds in a bucket of water for a week and
then trying to fire them. All went bang except for a couple of Blazer
aluminum cased rounds.

I have a brother in law that forgets to empty the pockets of dirty laundry. A Davis Derringer was in his jeans' watch pocket and the Federal 22 Mag ammo survived the washer & dryer at least 4 times and went bang! He paints the case mouth/bullet with red nail polish as an additional water proofing on all his carry ammo and the primer on centerfire ammo too.
