Winter Bulldog Thread
It is that time of year again. The trusty Bulldog is out of the kennel and back on the streets. I just like to share it and hear from other EDC charter big bore lovers.
I encourage you to share I love seeing Bulldog setups!
I HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
EDC today, tomorrow, and the foreseeable future:
Running the Hits snub super test with it while wearing my M29 in a snubbyfan OWB holster
The Hits test is my go to for fast accurate snub shooting (Submitted on imwithroscoe if you are interested BTW)

I don't have a pic of mine but I do love it. Mine's a well-worn example I bought for cheap and sent to Charter for an internals refurb. It's tight now. Stays loaded with 245 grain soft-ish cast SWCs.

Got a Boomer for pocket carry and a Bulldog for strong side carry. Don't carry much on the street, mostly woods carry. Loves the 240 grain SWC

How does that boomer shoot without a front sight?

Wow, that brings back some memories. Probably about 1980 I won a combined pistol/rifle competition. Had my Bulldog and a Ruger Mini 14. The only reason I won that day is they decided to only measure accuracy that day and discard run time. I don't remember the 80's all that well, but that day and the trophy I received that day will never leave my memory.

I find my Bulldog snub more accurate and less recoil than my air weights with JHP speer gold dots 200 vs 135 +p
Oc course it weighs a few OZ more but the difference in recoil is noticable

I left 44 Special and went with a 629 2 3/8" PC (unfluted cylinder) with 44 Special velocity 240 SWC's in mag brass, it is almost (only almost!) like shooting a pop gun! 11 grains of Unique is more recoil than I want (read that as gun speak for "more than I can stand!"), so 10 grains is what I've been running through it! An accurate and fairly pleasant load.

I really like my early Stratford BD for several reasons. One being its size and caliber. Another is its cost.
I have less than $250 in everything in pic, not including 76 rounds of ammo that came with it a while back.
ETA:
Forgot to mention about pic in first post, anyone that packs a BD and a Buck knife is ok in my books...
