Mine’s a scandium lightweight 342-1 with ergo grips. Best rubber grips for a J frame imo. They look odd but really work. Also had it cut for moon clips. I carry hornady Critical Defense in it.

That would be nice.....can anyone suggest a gunsmith to do that?

The J-frame is a 5-shot .38 cylinder pushed into a .32 caliber frame.

If CTC made laser grips for a Colt Agent / Cobra....I'd have that in my pocket over a J-frame. That's the only reason I haven't switched to a Colt.

My 642-1.

Carried my 640-1 for several years and got tired of the weight so I got the 642-1.

Back in June I bought a M&P Shield 45 and carried it for a few months and now I'm back to carrying the 642-1.

A few years ago I tried to buy a second one and ended up buying one like new off eBay. I don't think they make them anymore but I haven't checked in a loooong time.

Kinda an obvious statement, but if you wear a good, heavy gun belt, an all steel snubby in a pocket holster is fairly comfortable. (Not as much as on the belt, but comfortable. With a dress belt, forget it, IMHO.)

1¾" Milt Sparks lined leather belt, Lobo Gun Leather lined Enhanced Pancake, and a S&W 640-1 Pro at 4 o'clock -- whenever I'm wearing pants. The 640 is on the night stand when I'm not.

I tried a 360PD and an M&P 340. They and I did fine with magnums, but I like the heft of steel.

I always wear a vest. My favorites are Ariat. Starting last year there's been a .38 Chiefs Special Airweight (before they called it the Model 37) in the zippered inside left breast pocket and a spare moon clip for the 640 in the outer left hip pocket.

At the bbq it's usually my vanity Baby Chiefs (before its redo with holster and SAT just for perspective of how small that holster is).

Default Airweight

I think the recoil of the lightweights is exaggerated. I manage 5 shots rapid fire on target with 125grain +p.
I’m not big, tough or young. Usually shoot about 4 cylinders of it per session plus my other go to round. Wadcutters
