Absolutely.....my old duty Glock 21, wearing a Surefire XH35 is nearby. Federal 230 grain HST on board. And my model 442 as a "back up". Remember, two is one, and one is none.
Don't laugh....I'm getting old. I need that skate tape in those slide serrations.

I keep only one gun out of the safe at a time, even tho I live alone. Last week it was a 45 shield. Since new snow makes it hard to fine spent practice brass, today it is a M10 tapered 4" loaded +P Speer..

Headboard gun is a Taurus Poly Defender. First two rounds are the Winchester Defender 410 shells, the next 3 are the Colt 45 hollowpoints. Under the bed is a Mossberg 20 gauge pump.

FNX 40 with a Streamlight TLR-1 HR in the nightstand, drawer stays open 24-7 (too old for kids to be around). My Beretta CX4 9mm stands next to the decades old faithful Mossberg 500 (18.5" barrel). (next-door to the bedroom pharmaceutical dept)
Both are within arms reach when my feet hit the floor. Both have lights mounted. The CX4 has my Christmas gift (from Santa-self) Sig Romeo5 red dot mounted.
My carry gun each day becomes another bedroom gun at night. Currently a S&W 4046, on a stand purchased right here from a forum member. You'll have to toot your own horn, my memory has already clocked out for the day. (Mike something? I'm sorry )
Oh yeah, the "dog walking" S&W 351pd, sporting Crimson Trace grips, is handy for the random trips outside, as requested from my killer guard dog, Captain. . I feel well protected with him sleeping next to me. He's very alert & protective of me. So watch out boogeyman!

My "bedside" gun changes occasionally. Right now, it is a Glock 19 and Smith Model 37. The Model 37 (today's carry) is stashed high in a closet until tomorrow morning. The Glock 19 is in a quick access safe next to the bed. Both quickly accessible to me and inaccesible to my 3.5 year old daughter. Days of just leaving it on the nightstand are over, for a while.

Our first line of defense is 2 All Black German Sheperds. Being all black is a huge tactical advantage! All the bad guys MIGHT see is teeth!
Once they sound the alarm...
G19 with Olight and happy stick on night stand. Next to it is a BCM Recce AR with Romeo5(shake-awake is perfect), Inforce WML 800L and Blue Force Gear sling. My wife has 66-1 on her side and Mossberg .410 with 00-Buck.
See that most have a light for target identification but also MUST have a sling if you're using a rifle or shotgun. Just in case you need to go hands free and make sure it CAN'T be taken from you by the BGs.

I keep a lot of guns in my bedroom, but this is my nightstand gun...
Taurus Judge Magnum .410 Bore/.45 Long Colt
It stays loaded at my bedside with Barnes VOR-TX 200gr SCHPs and Federal Premium .410 Handgun 000 Buck.
If I have enough time, then I'll reach for this little scattergun that I have against the wall in a scabbard....
Mossberg 590 Shockwave 12 Gauge

Yep. Say hello to Mr. Rogue. Retired narcotics/patrol dog. VERY protective of the Mrs. Sleeps on the floor next to her side of the bed. If the bad guy can make it past 110 pounds of p****d off Rogue, then they have to deal with her and her Sig P2022 in 9mm and her S&W M&P, also in 9mm. I get whatever is left after she and Rogue have had their fun, which will more than likely be very little. But, I have my Sig P2022 in .357 Sig, so I should be good.

Model 66 loaded with Hornady XTP 38+P and two speed loaders with the 357 equivalent.
My wife likes and feels better with a revolver so that's what is there. Personally I would prefer my M+P 9, but the 66 will do the job.

Yep. Handguns for my wife and me and a 12 ga. Saiga with a drum and light locked up.
Motion lights outside will activate first. If entry is attempted/gained through hardened windows or doors, my house alarm will go off with piercing siren and strobe, and next to my mobile phone I keep my truck keys to activate my truck alarm in the driveway.
I have a remote to open the garage door, and keypad entry on exterior doors for when cops arrive 2-3 minutes after the call, but I figure with all the lights and noise my visitor(s) will be gone.
I’ll probably install a barking dog recording to go off with the alarm, because I’m not sure my other passive measures are enough dissuasion.
I don’t want to have to shoot anyone, but I will if they get in through the solid wood, dead-bolted and knob-locked bedroom door.
I sleep fine. Not scared at all. I have guns as a last resort, not first line defense.

I do have house guns but my ccw is my bedside gun. My 80# Airedale sleeps by the bed too. Early warning systems are great, especially if they have teeth.

I have 4 in my bedroom. One handgun for me, one handgun for my wife, a 12ga in the closet, and my 686-1 for no real reason other than it needs to be somewhere and my bedroom dresser is as good a place as any.

In the bedroom there have to be a dozen loaded firearms within two steps of the bed.
My nightstand has a M&P Spec-Ops 9MM and suppressor along with one of my 12" Remington 870WP pump guns

Walther Creed replaced the SW9VE. Now working on the SW9VE, lowered trigger pull and I had to replace the front night sight (non-factory)
Geoff
Who recently discovered he still shoots a Colt Mk. IV Series 70 very well. Old ammo.

Know from years of LE work that bedside areas are often the first place a residential burglar will check when doing daytime B&E's while decent working people are gone - I opt for the 'truck gun concept', ie., something reliable and capable, but if it gets stolen, no huge loss....
Wife's side has her Taurus SS Judge .410/.45. (Buckshot and .45 Colt LSWC's)
My side, a Taurus PT92 9mm with several spare mags close by. This 'Beretta clone' has the frame mounted safety, so can be cocked and locked if chosen.
This pistol used to be a loaner for many, many CC classes I taught and runs 100%.
No kids, or even grandkids, so none of this gets locked up unless we're to be gone for days or more.

I keep a Colt M4 on the nightstand. If I have to repel boarders I won't be doing it with a pistol.

I have my S&W SD9 with a factory tritium front sight and a flashlight attached to the rail within reach and at the ready.

That must be a pretty big nightstand.
