Asking why rather than how is probably the right call on that.
Marijuana was fine with Americans until we started getting concerned with Mexican immigration in the early 20th century. It spooks me that a lot of us in the gun community are cool going against individual freedoms in other victimless behavior, but we're going to be outraged when other people don't respect our freedoms and right to bear arms.
Legalization is happening at the state level, and I truly think we will see it at the federal level within the decade. I'd rather we all get it over with but I guess for the moment conflicting legality is the plan.

I simply replaced one mind altering substance with the other.
The guy who has a toke or 2 in the evening is no worse than the guy who has a highball or a few beers. Plenty of people who drink have proved a lack of ability to control their vice, anyone with a DUI has proved that too. Yep some pot heads use to much.. I don't get the lets punish them all mentality or why some feel the need to come down on pot more than alcohol which has proven to be far and away more deadly. Drunk drivers kill 30 people everyday in America.
I bet every LEO here has responded to more calls where booze was the problem than pot and I bet the number of shootings where the shooter had been drinking far and away out numbers those where the shooter has only smoked some pot. I rest my case.

So far as I know, in Florida you cannot carry a concealed weapon (even with a permit) while impaired, whether that be from alcohol, pot, prescription meds, or whatever.
It's the same for driving - you cannot carry a concealed car while impaired, either!

I drink about a 6 pack a year. I’m totally fine with banning all alcohol. Won’t effect me in the least. Let’s do it maybe we can save some lives!

A simple question, asked and answered.
Like it or not, the current law has been thoroughly explained. The opinions expressed on the board won’t change a thing.
We’re done here...
