Default Current production like CS9 / 3rd gen

Hi everyone,

Long time lurker, first time poster.

I’m looking for a subcompact 9mm with a steel frame, preferably stainless, prefer traditional double action with a decocker/safety, prefer single stack but double might be OK.

Basically a CS9, but currently in production. Parts are getting scarce...

Does anyone make anything like this anymore? I really like the 3rd gen Smiths, too bad they stopped making them.

I believe the CS9 has an alloy frame.

If you want all steel, try a Kahr K9 or MK9. All steel and a real nice DOA trigger. If you are shopping the used market, also be on the lookout for an E9, the economy version of the K9. It came in several different versions.

The MK9 is a little smaller than the CS9 while the K9 may be slightly larger.

They are a little on the heavy side, but all steel like you are looking for. I have a K9 and first gen E9 and they are both great guns. I have no personal experience with the MK9.

I think you’re right on the alloy. But I like a little weight, to help soak up recoil.

MK9 sounds perfect! I’ll have to see if my FFL has (or can get) one.

Thanks!

We were issued CS45s, they had aluminum alloy frames.
