I've found that an IWB holster works great for pocket carry. Depends, like everything, of you physical build and the pants you wear.

I just received two of the Sticky holsters for pocket carry. So far very pleased with them. In a reasonably tight pocket they stay in place when the weapon is drawn. In a looser pocket there is a technique (shown in a video on the Sticky website) to draw without the holster staying on the weapon.

I use the Air Marshal 3 Holster by Kangaroo Carry for my .45 Shield PC.
I have a few shirts with a button missing for ease of access.
Really comfortable.

As I've posted before, I am a fan of my Milt Sparks pocket holster. I use it for a 442. It leaves the least gun-looking bulge of the several I have tried. It was also the most expensive.

One thing I have found with pocket holsters that want to come out on the draw, once you grip the handgun, rotate it a few degrees outward before withdrawing. Any pocket holster with structure (and usually little wings and nubs) stays put. It becomes a very natural part of the draw.

Okay, I have to comment on this. Perhaps, just perhaps, I have the wrong one, as I bought it used after test-fitting to the J-frame. Over time, the mouth of the rig above the rear sight has both pinched together and folded a bit to the right. I can't get my thumb there on the draw to push back on it, and it entirely comes out with the gun.

It's too dark now for a picture, but hopefully readers can grasp what I mean.

I can see problems using this system for IWB .. trips to the bathroom when out-and-about immediately comes to mind.
That can be an issue with a Remora holster, too - they're "sticky" but they are definitely not stuck if you wear one IWB. But in your pocket I don't see a problem and I have never had a problem carrying a handgun in my pocket in any kind of a pocket holster, Remora, Galco, etc.

Do you remove the belt loops or metal clip when you do that?

1st disclaimer, in old age I've got that infamous beer gut. So inside the waistband is very uncomfortable. I found an old IWB holster (very thin) with a belt clip. I usually wear cargo pants and I push the belt clip over the outside of the pocket with the holster inside. So pulling the gun out the holster stays inside the pocket. I wear my shirts un-tucked.
