Default SIG P365: Holster and Laser Advice Please

Still thinking about when I leave New Jersey for a free state and I have another request for SIG P365 advice from a concealed carry know nothing.

1) What holster do you recommend for in the front pocket carry. I wear rather loose khaki pants, not tight blue jeans.

2) Anyone have any experience with an in front of the trigger guard laser? Seems to not take up much space and the SAS sights on my P365 are less than ideal

Unfortunately lasers are about as useful as or less so than the SAS sights (had a set of them that mounted on my old G43). The SAS model somehow commands a novelty premium over the standard model at the moment, if you hate the sights an easy solution is to sell it and pick up a standard model.

As far as the holster choice, I'd strongly consider doing something on a belt, it's a small gun, but I can't imagine the weight is going to be all that conducive to pocket carry, and I certainly won't pocket carry mine.

Skip the laser, they are useless and direct your attention away from where it should be in that type of situation.

I have a Recluse pocket holster, but found myself carrying in an outside the waistband holster mostly. Under a tee shirt, it hides well. If you want pocket try the Recluse, or any good holster maker such as Galco makes one also.

I carry a 365 daily.

@OP,

I have a Sig P365 with a Lima 365. Honestly, in my opinion, it is not a rig that I would consider pocket carrying. I have a Vedder pocket holster for my Glock 42,which I do like. The Vedder pocket holster is very much like the Alabama holster that Hickok 45 promotes, and is similar in price.

For my 365 with laser, I have a pair of Blue Star holsters (1 IWB, 1 OWB), which are stock holsters. Unlike Black Rhino Concealment holsters where you have to pay extra for the laser option, Blue Star doesn't charge a premium for the laser. When I carry, I use the IWB. When I am doing range work or shooting a match, I use the OWB holster.

As a side note, while I like the concept of the laser, I am not happy with the pressure switch on the Lima 365. I find that as I am applying pressure to the trigger, my grip inadvertently shifts and contact with the pressure switch is lost, thereby causing the laser to turn off moments before the trigger breaks. I can't speak to the Crimson Trace laser for the P365. What I can say is that holsters for the P365 equipped with lasers are not interchangeable.

I was carrying on a DeSantis pocket holster. worked well.
Picked up a Viridian green laser that comes with a holster.
When then is drawn the laser comes on.
I like it.

My P365 is a little too big for pocket carry (for the clothes that I wear), so I go to the LCP MAX or Seecamp 32 for summer carry.

For cooler weather though, a DeSantis Mini Scabbard on a belt,is what I use for the 365. Holds the gun tight against my body, very secure and not bulky.
The mini scabbard is not very expensive either.

Laser? No clue, never used one.

In my post, I forgot to add the following, and the posts after mine ( including yours) made me think of it!

Duluth Jeans have WAY DEEP pockets. like 10 inches. If anyone wants to pocket carry, they are great jeans for it. You could probably fit a four inch model 19!
Men's Ballroom Relaxed Fit Jeans | Duluth Trading Company

I have one pair of the flex and they are ok, but like the best. Also never tried the "40 grit" so dont know.

I have an Alabama pocket holster. I'll admit I don't use it much but it is very good at concealing in a decent sized pocket, especially cargo shorts which is why I purchased it.
I buy my jeans and shorts one size big anyway because I 99% of the time carry IWB at 3:30-4:00. And then It's in an Eclipse Holsters IWB Intrepid with Ulticlip.

Lasers...... That's a big no for me. My P365 has the awesome night sights on it.

I wear loose fit Wranglers and pocket carry my P365 in Mika. It looks like I may have a cell phone in my pocket.

Pocket Concealment Systems makes some nice leather pocket holsters. Pictured below is not a P365, but you get the idea:

Ordered a DeSantis Nemesis:

The club I belong to in eastern PA has a practice/tactical pistol range that allows holster draw.

I used the same holster for my 365 with no laser. It works well.

I front pocket carry in a DeSantis Nemesis and have for over 25 years. They are GREAT, comfortable, quite concealable, sweat proof, and last many many years.

IMHO a Laser on a SD carry gun is not only unnecessary, it is also a liability. It will add weight, bulk, limit holster selection, subject to failure when needed, could actually slow you down by having to acquire the laser, and at 5 - 10 feet is simply not needed IMO. You asked. lol
