Default Meprolights MH3 Vs Trijicon

I just bought a used Gen 2 Glock 19. Gun is a PD trade in and has Meprolights MH3 Glock labeled sights. The gun was issued in 1993 so I gotta think it’s on the third set because they’re pretty dim. But how bright are Meprolight sights? How much better will they be compared to the ones on there? Glock will put new sights on for like $60 so I’m thinking of sending it in and having them give it a once over. Here’s a pic. Best I could do holding the gun in one hand and taking a pic with the other. You’ll have to zoom in to see it. The second pic is of new Trijicons for comparison.

I have Mepros on several guns. They have worked fine and the cost savings over a Trijicon is worth it to me. That being said, for guns that TruGlo TFOs are made for (Glock being one of them), that is what I buy. You will like them way better. Daytime and nighttime performance. Truglo only makes them for current production guns, so I can't get them for 3rd gen smiths which is my EDC, so I had go to with Mepro.

Only 2 manufacturers of tritium vials. Trijicon, and the company in Israel. The Trijicon vials are brighter. I don't believe Trijicon supplies their vials to anyone else.

Trijicon will relamp theirs for around $55 for the 3 dots. No one else relamps.

Just some FYI that I found out when researching new sights or relamping.

Have you had one done recently? I emailed them to get details 3 weeks ago and no response.

Does that $55 include shipping both ways? One way?
