So took advantage of the abundant choices of ammo at the Cabelas in Maine and picked up some various .22 rounds like Federa Punch and CCI Stingers

My FFL just got in an LCP II .22 with a silver cerakote on the slide for the same price as a normal blue one

Gonna enjoy going to the range and figuring out which .22 ammo shoots best, most reliable and most accurate without breaking the bank on ammo cost

I live on Lake Erie, so summer months are always shorts and t shirts. My carry gun of choice is a Sig P365. They are very easy to conceal, plenty of fire power (16 rounds if I choose).

Default Micro 9

Yeah seems lots of people like the 365. I’m usually carrying a 60 .38 j frame in a pocket holster. My buddy had one and I tried it a few times but for me the jframe is easier to draw. Winter months it’s in my jacket pocket when I’m outside or pumping gas.

I was looking for a lightweight alternative that will disappear in some beach ware or light shorts. While .22 isn’t ideal I wanted a project that wouldn’t cost me an arm and leg in ammo

I thought about a 642 but again too big for what I wear. I’ve pocket carried for 15+ years and it’s so convenient it’s a hard habit to break.

I’ll update this post when I run the little .22 through the testing

Thanks for input everyone

I was unable to bring my j frame 60 due to travel through MA and NJ not going to risk it plus too heavy for beach attire

But I see more beach trips farther south in the future so I can avoid those states

I’m thinking an LCP would make a dandy vacation gun
Small enough not to sag in your swim trunks or beach wear
Decent power and very easy to conceal

Anyone else have a small gun they would use for very casual vacations?
Kahr P380?
