Default 696 concealment holster

After a lot of recommendations for a 696 concealment holster I ordered a Simply Rugged holster. This thing swallows my 696. In fact my 25-5 fits in it too. I can`t see using this for a concealment holster either, it`s huge. Now, i`ll have to admit it`ll probably last a life time but how they figure this thing is gonna hide I have no idea.

Default 696 Concealment Holster

Do a search for Model 696 Holster's and you will see a picture of an Andrews Custom Leather saddle style holster. Then check out their web site. They make great holster goods.

Contact Simply Rugged. My hunch is that they sent you an N frame holster accidentally.

That would be my thought also.

When I contacted them the first time they had one that was Cordovan and I didn`t want it so they had to make this one. I`ll take a picture of it tonight and post it.

Well what do ya think ? The holster sits 1" below the end of the barrel and the sights sit 1 1/2" below the top.

That holster is for a bigger gun. My 696 looks just like that in my N frame sourdough pancake. Send the pics to Rob. He will make it right.

When I first got my 696 I took a 4" Fobus, headed for the bandsaw, and then drilled and inserted two small (itty bitty) screws in the bottom to secure the end. I cut and beaded the screws over the nuts, and have used it as a daily carry, switching off with my Combat Commander as needed. Coming up on 4 years. (Although I have to admit, I'm seriously considering having Lobo make me one of his pancke holsters for it as a retirement present )

Burch, I haven't tried one of Lobo's holsters, but every time someone posts that they just got, or have been using one, I've only ever heard good things.

Everything I've heard is good. I've also followed his posts, and believe from what I have read that he is good people. His head seems to be on straight.
