I have an Accutron pocket watch. Couldn't ever keep it running reliably.

There's something about the look of that particular Bulova I have always liked. I recently looked at them on Ebay and was surprised that there were several. I wonder if my Luminox chrono will last 43 years. Nice watch!

I got mine as a graduation gift from Mom and Dad in January 1970. I put it away until I returned from Ft. Polk and it was still keeping time until the mid 1990's. The supply of parts gave out!! Your picture brings back lots of great memories. Thanks.

Believe it or not parts are available. The tough part is finding someone competent to work on them

Those Accutrons are neat, but if you put them on your headboard just right they'll vibrate and cast off an incredible buzz, just can't sleep with all that noise... Smiler

That's the problem I've had with my Dad's old Bulova. It spent six months or better in and out of a very competent watch maker's shop before he got it running correctly. It would run well for several days, then go haywire. So far, it's been good for about a year.

Sounds like the fork is bent.

Just send it back to Bulova. Last time I checked, they had a website.

Check here:

My dad just got my grandpa's Bulova working again and gave it to me. It's a nice special occasion watch for me.

No need my watchmaker was was trained at the Bulova school anf knows his way around electronic tuning fork watches.

Sending an Accutron to Bulova won't help as they have no parts for nor the people to repair Accutrons.

You do not want to send a T fork back to bulova they will fix it in a way you will not like.
They will replace the movement with a QUARTZ movement. That is how they repair them. Find a watchmaker to fix your watch. Parts are readily available. They are not hard watches to repair it is just a matter of having the parts.

My wife gave me one in 1968 as her first Christmas gift to me after we got married. It quit after about 5 years. I had it repaired (expensive) and it lasted another 5 years. I did not repair it.

It sits in a drawer as a fond memory of our first Christmas together.

BTW, it cost $90 in the PX.
