I traded my friend a sks for a old savage pump 30-30 model 107B.it is in great shape. the stock looks great no marks or scratches. havent shot it yet. I just thought it was a neat rifle.I have been wanting a savage bolt action 30-30 still looking for one of them.but this pump will go nicely with my 4 other 30-30s anyone know much about this rifle?

Can't say much about the 107 but, I have a Savage 170 30-30 pump that dates to the mid-1970
's. Going to the range with it later today!

Love them 30-30's!!

One of the older Gun Digests had an artical about the Savage 170 .30-30 pump rifle.

I think I have the book. It is quite complementery of the rifle. The artical entails a guy's finding and fixing up a well used version into a slick hunting rifle.

Long ago I oqwned two of these rifles. Can't remember now why I traded them, but I wish I'd kept one. They were very decent and handy .30-30s.

They were also made in 35 Remington. I wouldn't mind one of those.
Pump rifles are very fast.

I had one once. I liked it. It seemed easier to get off second shots than a lever action. I carried it to a show once just to have something to carry. A guy came up and offered me $100.00 more than I had in it so I sold it.

Looks like something that doesn't come along every day and actually is a bit more interesting to me than all the mindless AR 15 drivel these days. The little Savage appears to be a fun and practical rifle. In .35 Remington too? Cool! I like ol' .30-30 and also would like to have a .35 Remington chambered rifle to play with.

I can't tell for sure from the photo, but does this rascal fire from a detachable box magazine or a "tube" type pump shotgun magazine?

I have one in .35 Remington. Very nice rifle - fast and accurate. Moondawg - it has a magazine tube.

Sigp220.45; Sounds like a nice rifle. I already have .30-30. I've long wanted a decent Marlin Model 336 in .35 Remington but will keep this Savage in mind.
