Yes it is the newer 50 round boxes that were tested. I did shoot some of the 25 round stuff years ago in a Mk VI. It was not accurate. But for someone who does not reload it was nice to see what these guns are like.

There are two types of Fiocchi packaging in the 50 round box. The stuff made right after the 25 round boxes is in the silver box with blue strips like above. The newer stuff is in a brown box.

On another point isn't the stock kind of like the ones you would put on an Inglis Hi Power, Broomhandle Mauser or Artillery Luger? I believe all these are exempt from the stamp and are classified C&R.

Lastly Linda I forgot to comment on the holster and belt. They are beautiful. But from the looks of them I doubt that officer spent must time on the Western Front Wink Still it is a wonderful set and displays well with the gun.

Very nice. Love those Webleys. Just purchased one (Enfield Mk VI mfd. 1924) about five months ago after many years of looking. It was a great birthday gift to myself. Congrats.

Well try this. Go to The High Road and do a search for Checkman. Yes that is me as well. Then look up my posts. I have a few photos of the Webley and also a really cute "sporterized" Lee-Enfield Mk III*. Bubba actually did a decent job on the Enfield.

I like the older British firearms.I just sent you a photo. Hope it gets through to you.

Got the Enfield the other day and finally had time to take a pic.

It's a 1923. Uncut so still in the 455 caliber. One thing I noticed is it seems to time and lock up quicker than a Webley. Any thoughts on this from other owners?

I'm pleased since I've been looking for years to find one in this condition. My son and I took it out and put a few rounds through it. Shot nice too. Now to find a white holster and lanyard.

Bruce, congrats on your new find!

Looks like a very nice one!

Tell me more about the holster you're looking for... do you have any pics?

Linda I'll see if I can find one. It's basically a white WW2 canvas holster. Used by the Commonwealth Navy and MP's. I also understand they used the RAF blue one's two. I just lost an E-Bay blue one with lanyard.

Always nice to see Webley photos and Webley fans.

Y'all have better Webleys and Webley photos than I do.

I acquired a number of boxes of Fiocchi .455 ammunition which turned out to be a disappointment. Chronographed the factory load which trundled out of my 4-inch Mark IV at 582 fps. The tissue-thin cases cracked easily. I lost 2 or 3 per box. It was all down hill from there with reloaded cases. An English friend rescued me with a batch of Mountain & Sowden cases. These appear to be everlasting.

Thank you sir but those are two very nice Webley's you have there as well.

I spent the afternoon enjoying this one.

It's a 22 target from the 50's. I took the jeep back into a remote place. Someone had been there before and left their trash. I proceeded to bust up the cans and bottles. Beautiful day for it. Cleaned it all up and headed for home.

Really fun plinker. As accurate as a K22 and just as much fun.

Take Care

A .22 Webley would be a blast. It'd probably give my Model 17 a run for the money in my affection for my .22s. Is it a conversion? I need to research these with a view to acquiring one.

Thanks a lot for tweaking my "wanter button"!

No not a conversion. It was made as a target 22. I didn't get a good pic of the rear sight.

It's adjustable. They made them from the late 40's till the early 60's. Not sure of the serial range. I'll check it and get back.

No lanyard ring, same grips as the 38 S&W.

I really like the Webley revolvers with the bird's head grip. Terrific and classy looking.

That's a really nifty revolver! If some chap tried to abscond with your tele, you could put him in a bad way and stuff him in the boot of your car! Wink

My .38 Calibre Enfield revolver would like to be Webley when it grows up. Big Grin
