You can count on it, as sure as the sun rises. Just like with Hammerdown, here's a man who knows that he is not welcome, yet keeps coming back. And like Hammerdown, he's harassing the members of this board. And just as with Hammerdown, I've refrained from saying anything to past the point of reasonable. Enough is damn well enough.

Yeah, Mister Fugate has called down the whirlwind. If this boob is going to harass the members here, then there will be a thread or threads maintained or created for the purpose of warning our members about the man's behavior. That's only right, not that this guy is even familiar with the word.

Just sent his ISP a scathing email complete with a copy of this email and a link to this thread. Think I'll send my pal John or Matt or whoever the hell he is a little note...

Uh huh. I'm so glad all this is coming out now. The man will say whatever he needs to, do whatever he needs to, to get his hands on your guns so that he can slap a higher price on it and sell it to your friends.
All that stuff about "not contributing to the spamming problem" is just so much bullshit, because you can see page after page of members in this thread stating they've been spammed by this jerk.

It is my understanding there are TWO Fugate brothers, John and Matt. I have been told that they were both "harvesting" from the aisles at Hopkinsville show Saturday January 19. Understand that they stayed most of the day. Do not know if they returned Sunday.

Do not know what they bought.

The following is being sent to administrators of any organization where my profile address is listed. Since I only use this address for firearms related sites, this should be a relatively surgical approach.

"To Whom It May Concern:

As a member of your group, in good standing, I respectfully submit the following. I have received unwanted and unsolicited email from Fugate Firearms in a format that contradicts FTC regulations. Since the method used to mine this information is unknown to me, I am sending this to all organizations where my e-mail address is listed. Please be advised that this practice has been reported to the FTC, along with identifying organizations that have this as my contact email address.

My sole purpose for this communication is to ask that you cooperate with any subsequent investigation by the FTC or its associated agencies. I leave it to your discretion whether to take any further action internally to police your organization’s population. I will, however, monitor your organization's population and if Fugate Firearms is still active in 48 hours, my membership will be terminated.

Thank you."

***UPDATE*** They are NOT connected.

Is there a connection between John/Matt Fugate in Gilbertsville, KY and

Fugate's Firearms
5085 Highway 11 S
Calhoun, TN 373090
423-336-2675 (from Google)
423-336-8248 (from FFL)

Ironically, I drove by that shop on my way to the Smoky Mountains.

If so, he ruined their name in the S&W world. If not, I feel very sorry for them.

After reading that email Para, I am left wondering what a guy like that must sometimes call his regular bread and butter customers behind their backs. If he has any.

has taken the appropriate action. Please continue to let us know when such
instances occur.

I don't know, but if everyone who was spammed will email his ISP, it can have an impact.

And for the record, guys, SPAM is defined as "unsolicited broadcast email", and that is precisely what this stuff is from this jerk and his jerk brother.
