Gary,
I think the main complaint of most here isn't that he's practicing "free enterprise". It's his attitude in mouthing off to anybody that finds fault, bragging about what fools sellers are that he gets his guns from and, mainly, refusing to accept that he is not welcome on this board regardless of what the owner says.
Go out to his feedback and read his responses to anyone that he has a disagreement with. I think it shows his character quite well.
He reminds me a another former member that was all sweetness and light....when you agreed with him. The minute you didn't see things his way, he turned into what's her name in the Exorcist.

Edited to add:
I'm not talking to myself. I was responding to a post that has disappeared in the interim. I guess the poster deleted it after reconsidering what he had said.

I did, because I am in no mood to hear complaints about how many emails you've received because of this (turn >off< your notifications. The only reason you're getting those emails is because you've requested them), nor how we should let this die, nor anything else.
In two days, I have made tremendous headway on what has been a chronic headache for me for months, and I am in no mood to listen to members tell us why we should let this go now.
This is an issue that needed to be addressed, and the Fugates forced the issue. I am simply carrying forward with that momentum and using it to the forum's advantage.

+1

Para and I spoke about this issue in mid-October, and he chose to keep it private (he has FAR more patience than I do). I respected his wishes by not posting my "evidence" connecting wheelgunTN to Fugate, but I am very happy to see Fugate finally getting what he has been so desperately been asking for.

My apologies to parabellum for expressing my opinion on the subject

Expressing your opinion is fine, m-1911, and as far as I'm concerned, you don't owe me an apology. But before you complain about getting so many emails on this, you need to remember that you have elected to turn on notifications, and that is why you've been inundated with this stuff. If you simply turned off those notifications, you wouldn't have to see any of it.

I think you should keep the heat turned on para. Fugate asked for everything he is getting. This is a good forum here, the generous posters here have provided newer collectors like myself with quite a bit of S&W info. Thank you for allowing me to participate.

i feal kinda dumb for buttiing in here. it just seems to me that it's an awfull lot of work just in the day to day running of this community (it's much more than just a forum) and i can't imagine haw much more aggrivating this all is for para. and if it means anything if me and para ever end up in the same place at the same time and have the time to spend, the beers on me, just leave your wallet in your pocket para. c.p.

we're gonna have peace, if we have to kill every last one 'em

Would it be allowed and appropriate for people to put a line in their classified ads something like: "Not for sale to John or (forgot his brother's name) Fugate."? or "Item(s) will not be shipped to Fugate Firearms". It may not stop him from buying, but it would drive the point home and give him a lot of negative publicity and as it is not making any allegations as to his character or honesty it shouldn't carry any risk of a libel suit.

A nice tiddy little $250 profit. He would love to get your guns at low ball prices and resell them for a lot more!

John Fugate gets away with this all too often. And no, I am not jealous of him for doing this.

Has anyone here ever played the fax game where you tape 4 or 5 sheets of black paper together and send a fax...when the first sheet comes through the bottom of the fax tape the top sheet to the bottom making a loop? Sure does use a lot of ink and paper.

You don't need to tape paper together if you can fax from your computer .... you can fax him an entire file ... say, the Encyclopedia Britannica, for example. Smiler

If anyone is sceptical of my claim about this email that was sent, it can be published here in the forum. If the member to whom it was sent wants to step forward and confirm my remarks, please feel free to do so.

Para, yes that e-mail was sent to me(I fowarded it to you), and you have my permission to publish it. I would do so myself, but I'm a little behind the times regarding how to do that.
I have sold 2 guns to Fugate in the last 6 months or so via GB. I told him that I wished that he had not bid on the guns, and that I preferred someone who was not going to flip the firearms get them. I have since blocked him as a bidder on any firearm that I sell via GB.
Please John Fugate,I know you're reading this, no more e-mails to me. Thank you.

After 19 pages, I'd kinda like to see the email "asking for quarter". Not my business really, but I'm damned curious at this point...

Seems to me perhaps quarter could be granted if the perps promise to behave and also make a generous donation to a charity of Para's choice, thier misbehavior has certainly resulted in the expenditure of a lot of his time.
