I still haven't received this e-mail that everyone's going on about. Maybe because I haven't posted outside The Lounge in so long?

This is a Yahoo search result at this time. Hits 1-2-and 3.

As far as I recall, I never got the SPAM e-mail from those guys. I do remember going through a time (a few months ago) where I was actively seeking a particular firearm. They had one or maybe two of this model for sale, and WAY over priced. They would keep listing it, because they couldn't sell it. You'd think that a decent business man would slowly drop the reserve or starting price until it was a realistic price in the current market. I guess he isn't out to actually sell guns, just sell overpriced guns.
Thank you Para, you do great work, and this thread was very fun to read.

As of right now...the S&W forum e-mail thread is the 5th one down on Google search.

How do we get to be number one? Big Grin

They should feel proud- this thread has more replies that the biscuit & gravy thread, and closing in on the ILIF thread!

However, I do enjoy biscuits and gravy.

After reading this thread, I am going to go out and get a can of....

Google's formula seems to weigh more heavily on the search terms ("Fugate Firearms" in this case) being in the URL than Yahoo's formula.

I'd say the word is making it to Fugate's honey holes nicely...

"The Fugate Clause"...I like the sound of that.

+1 The Fugates really should read the saga of Charlie Wenzel. You should too, if you've got some time to burn:

Basically, an asshole tried to rip someone off over a set of gears on a 4X4 forum. Instead of owning up to it and making it right, he just kept squirming (like a guy in quicksand). After reading the first page or two, you'll get the picture. . .

WARNING: This thread is very long, funny, and addictive -- you'll learn some new cuss-words.

It's an Internet Classic.

If you sit up all night and get in trouble at work tomorrow, don't blame me. Smiler

I was just laughing so hard reading the recap my wife came in to check on me. Not sure how I missed that (Wentzel) when it first happened in 2005 but glad I'm up to speed now...

Quick story...

My father isn't a computer person, so I send links, pictures, and such to my mother. She shows them to my father, and we talk about them on the phone. Tonight I sent them a link to my Ahrends thread, and this is the only thing she said before handing the phone to my father:

"WHO ARE YOU PISSING ON?" Big Grin

I love you, Mom.
