Shady characters will always buy-low sell-high. Ever tried to get a decent price on a low mileage used car from a salesman ?! WinkYeah buddy she runs great! Wink The point Para is making is these jerks started all of this by illegally harvesting our e-mail addresses from this forum. ILLEAGALLY I said! This should infuriate every one of us. This type of activity cannot be tolerated by Para and it is our job to have his back. Period.
Good job Para.

Monty

Since I didn't have the pleasure of meeting "The Boys" while I was in Tulsa Roll Eyes, I'll bump this thread instead.

Were they there at the same time as you, jeremy?

If they were, and I were you, and I was harboring as much animosity as you appear to be, I would have walked right up to them, looked them straight in the eye, and told them exactly what I thought of them.

If you did indeed have this opportunity, and passed it up, I would have to wonder why.

Sounds to me like you missed a golden opportunity to perhaps let go of a little pent-up frustration. Big Grin

I was only at the show on Saturday, so if they were there, they were just two faces in the crowd.

If you know me, you know I say what is on my mind. I try to be respectful, but I don't hold back. I have absolutely no problem with buying low and selling high if you are a dealer, but I have a problem when you will do ANYTHING to make money. I have personal stories, but this one was sent to me by a respected member of this forum:

"Thanks for your reply. You gotta be kidding me, Fugate is still operating as wheelgunTN? That user is still listed as "member" on the S&W forum, rather than banned. Anyway, then he is the one who tried to dishonestly deal away the model 58 I bought FTF in St. Paul! He got ahold of this guy selling and told him he should "have what's fair" blah blah, and offered more money--the guy called me the next day at work, prior to when we were supposed to meet, and told me this. He also had the balls to tell me he had to have more money after this forum member told him he was selling too cheap. After some further discussion, he decided to honor his price. At that point I was ready to call it off anyway."

If anyone can be friends with someone capable of something that low, they don't have to worry about being friends with me.

I just received this email:

"I heard you were hiding in the bathroom stall when you found out we were there. Instead of pissing on us you were pissing yourself.

Matt Fugate"

What a class act! Need I say more?

Unfortunately, Fugate continues to sell many overpriced guns on GB. I regularly monitor his auctions. Some of his prices are really out of line.

What a classy guy! He sure likes to defecate where he eats and sleeps doesn't he? I bet he gets little return business, along with the business he loses from Internet searches of forums....

Like so many who undertake arduous journeys, I left a city of wise men and came back to a polis of fools. Ignorance, like time, brooks no returns.

It's an auction, isn't it?

Nobody is forced to buy anything if the prices are too high.

If their stuff is selling, then apparently somebody is willing to pay prices that may seem "too high" to you.

But, really...doesn't the marketplace decide that?

Seems I recall something like that from basic economics class...

I couldn't care less about their auctions. My concern is that the members of this forum be left alone, and that this is made crystal clear to these yahoos.

Guys,
I got one of their unsolicited emails the same day all of this started.
I sent them a direct reply from me stating that I didn't appreciate them culling my
address off of the forum, nor did I wish to do business with them.
I asked them to remove my address from their file and not to send any more unsolicited commercials my way.
Got a personal reply that my wishes would be met, and never heard another word from them.
Sure seems that we have spent an awful lot of time and energy fussing about a bunch of clowns that we don't do business with.
Their business paractices will catch up with them eventually. Look at the respected gun expert R.L.Wilson. He got his in the end. Now all he can do is read his own books about guns. He can never own another one or even handle one.
