I like the idea of requiring an "I'll Take It" post as a Forum rule. I also feel that any gun posted here should be an exclusive listing for the duration of the S&W Forum post.

I don't think that the actaul buyer,"snaked" anything, just that GA has a BAD POLICY....Letting ads keep running AFTER the gun is sold....
Let's get this straight. GA has two "buttons" for each ad. One says "Ask Seller a Question", and the other says "Offer To Buy". After ONE person offers to buy an item at the asking price, the ad goes into a "pending" stage, though it doesn't get removed from public view. The "Offer To Buy" button goes away because it have been spoken for, but unfortunately, the "Ask Seller a Question" button stays. This is how unethical buyers can still make offers before the deal is completed with the original buyer. Of course, it is a GA flaw. I've voiced my concerns about the flaw, but the owners couldn't care less.

Did you try to buy that gun by using the "Ask Seller a Question" button because my friend said he used the "Offer To Buy" button? Only ONE person can use the "Offer To Buy" button as I understand it (I don't use GA). In the past, it sounds like you were "outbid" by an unethical buyer.

Man that is evil. It's ok because nobody is going to buy that for $2k. They might get 1k tops if they are lucky

Okay, I just bought a 520 from a guy on the board. Fugate e-mails me at home, with an offer for a 520. After weeks of nothing, another shows up on GB. WTF?

So, it looks like the only way to deal with these two shit heads is to require an "I'll take it" posted in the ad, eh?

I agree with a "I'll take it" posted here on the forum. These guys will still contact the members posting ads looking for certain models, no way to get around that but sellers will know a member is buying their item for sale.
