Just an update to the above aforementioned thread quote about "Fugotti". Sparing the previous details, basically I emailed AA and told them what was going on and explained that I refused to follow through with their purchase. I hit Fugotti with a negative and placed a sales credit request at which AA quickly posted my account and completely deleted any record of bids or sales to those slugs. All is well that ends well. They evidently don't bid much at AA because their feedback is "2". I guess without the "15 Minute Rule" (that AA does not have and GB does) they can't stretch the auctions out longer in order to outbid anyone. Pecker heads.

I believe that he uses the name "lastbidderone" to buy on Auction Arms.

Well, I stand corrected. He (Fugate) whined to the powers that be at Auction Arms and they pulled my negative to him, and he posted one for me. It's okay, one negative out of 37 positives. I can live with it. A badge of honor. Also, he goes by Fugotti on AA as well.

They told me because he did the "Buy it now" feature before I blocked him as a bidder, that the deal was legitimate. I had to follow through or he had the opportunity to post a negative. I told him he could fire away if that is what he thought he needed to do.

As best I can tell the Fugates use the following "alias's" to buy and sell on Auction Arms and Gunbroker:

Fuggoti (when buying)-------- Matt Fugate
Lastbidder (when buying)------ John Fugate
Lastbidderone (when buying)--- John Fugate
Fugatefirearms (when selling)-- John & Matt Fugate

Looks like they use the different alias's to keep the "negative feedback" numbers spead out so it doesn't look as bad. As an example the negatives are really adding up on "Lastbidder" on Gunbroker -- 8 negatives now and 2 very recently --- continuing complaints of him using foul language and trying to rip off sellers.

I'm a mod on a small, fairly new gun forum...I've already related this story to our Admin, and have told them to be on the look out.

Our Admins response...no problem, if they join, we'll spam the heck out of them. Big Grin

Thanks for keeping us informed about this problem.

OK, this has been up for 8 months now. I think that's sufficient...for a start. I'm going to un-feature this topic. Of course it goes without saying that it can be re-featured in a heartbeat, should I feel it necessary.

It's enough to make a grown man cry. I found a listing at one of the big auction houses for "the gun" I've been searching for for close to six months now... what a sinking, sickening feeling in the pit of my stomach to see who the seller is.

Someone talk me down!
