I grew up with them, those
ittle white tins. Made my first
spice cake with them.

And now! They have changed from
the plastic screw off bottles,
to a "snap up lid". I can't
tell you how many times in the
past six months I have un-screwed
those lids to shake a portion
out of the pre-drilled transparent
"shaker" (no religoious or political
implications here)caps that used
to be there, and dump a bunch of white
pepper into my home made slaw or shipped
home grown 'maters from Shurget ($4.99 a lb w/o shipping) -ummm-ummm-good) Mad

I've ruined biscuits & gravy, chilly (with & without beans), ribbsters, (smoked, and BBQed.

I was so upset that I accidentally
stabbed myself in the chest with a
dinner fork today!

Anyone else experiencing this
PITA "modern convenience"?

We love pictures here ~ really, absolutely~!

I've caught myself before I dumped but the wife has a heck of a time with the garlic. Good thing we like garlic.

We can always go bland. Cheaper, and easier on the ol' stomach.

McCormick produces a quality product but not for the price differential. 4-6 TBSP of chili powder and then everything else, it doesn't matter.. at least not to my "consumers" I have been getting "generic" spices more and more..
YMMV

I thought it was because I was having a Martini while cooking? Appears, I'm not the only one cooking under the influence?
I agree, whole heartedly!

Well, geez....

I guess I shouldn't mention what
has happened with
CheeseWizz... Never used it much
'cept the Brie on Freedom Fries,
but seems that Cadbury and China, and the
Bunny Loves candy...

What is the food world coming to?

Hate the new plastic containers. Open it up & there's still a plastic seal underneath. Try to shake out some spice & the damn thing is plugged up. Give me the old cans & bottles they had before all the so called Improved stuff.

A couple of years ago, my lovely bride had a two-tiered, revolving spice rack on her Christmas wish list.

It didn't take long to find a suitable spice rack, but I just about choked when I purchased all of the spices to fill it! Yikes! Eeker

Well, I tried the Badia brand of
spices once, dried shaved bananas,
and a bunch of shriveled spiders
& crabs fell out...

No, thanks, I'll stick to good old
USofA spices.

Find a Hippie store [Organic food specialty house]. Buy fresh bulk spices a lot cheaper than McCormick and store them in the familiar tins that you've saved. Oops didn't save any you are SOL.
