One of the largest seller/dealers in NC is visiting the plant this week as a guest, maybe others are there from all over the US, for all I know.........but I do gunshows for him and we are friends..........he wrote me the following short note:

"New stuff coming K22 17 6 inch model 18 4 inch 22 Model 14 k-38 model 57 4 and 6 inch 1911 9mm --632 in 327 S&W power port"

That is all I know at this point......specifics about each of these would be pure specualtion at this point, but the boys in Mass. seem to be listening........

I seem to recall someone on this forum expressed an interest in a .41 Magnum. The introduction of the Model 57 should make his day. As for me, if they all have round butts you can count me out.

Looks like some nice offerings for 2009. Was hoping to see a J-frame in 9mm rather than the new 327 Federal round.

OK...so when does the bitching kick in about, "Hell no I won't buy one because of those f*cking locks"? Roll Eyes Wink

I too would have liked to see the 9mm J-frame re-introduced.

To me that would be one very silly "excused" for not buying a new Smith & Wesson and doesn't make an bit of sense because you can always add a pair of Stocks that will turn a Round Butted gun into one that looks and feels like a Square Butt. But, you sure can't do the reverse.

I guess some people will always be able to find an "Excuse" especially if they can't find a "Reason" for what they do and say!

Sounds like 2009 will be expensive for me.

Why do they fool around with hack calibers such as .41 Magnum and .327??!

They should bring back a useful rounds- such as the .32 WCF or .38 WCF!

I'm not buying one until the have a triangle butt!

Square butt "conversion" grips don't turn a round butt gun into a square butt gun. They turn it into a round butt gun with square butt grips.

Strangely, neither does stamping "Black Angus" onto a package of tofu turn it into a steak.

You can split all the "Hairs" you want but my Point is still the same. He's looking for an excuse and doesn't have a Reason just a silly excuse!

No, he doesn't like round butt guns. And except for 2" and 3" guns, neither do I. I won't buy a round butt 4" gun.

Unless you're fronting him the money, not liking a feature is an EXCELLENT reason for not spending a LOT of money for something he doesn't want.

I hope the Models 17 & 14 get the Target Hammer and Target Trigger as they should to be
true to the originals, and the 18 gets the standard trigger/hammer. The 18 appeals to me because an 18 is the first handgun I ever
bought, well, with my Dad I was 14.

An SW1911PD in 9mmx19 with the scanddium frame will sell with the popularity of this platform offered by other manufacturers.

uh, why put a power port on a .327 FM which
already has less recoil than the .38 Special +P
or not? SHeeish, add a model 16 in the .327 FM in 3" and 5" BBl. It could fire the .32 rimmed family and get some interesting ballistics out of a little longer tube than Ruger's SP101.

Is that the price for each of these new models-
$2009- or is that the year they are going to tell us they are on the way-and that means it will actually be 2010 which means 2011 when they go on sale in CALIFORNIA..I am not dancing in the streets if anybody wants to know..all5x
