S/Bob,
As long as she's using them as an assist, and NOT IN LIEU OF knowing how to use the weapons iron sights, they're a great assist! I get a bit queasy with worry, over someone relying on them exclusively rather than on sighting fundamentals? That said, my Wife's 342PD wears them now in order to give her every advantage, should her situation disallow use of the sights.

There was a great thread on this maybe a year ago in the CCW section of the Forum. I resisted them for a long time because I recall when the lasers were little more than toys.

But, when I finally tried these, I found, as many others far ahead of me had said, that they were tough and reliable. I sold my Kahr PM9 and Alessi ankle holster I carried at work daily and strapped on my 638 with CT grips. I put a set on my 442 and a set on my wife's 317.

If they made them for Colt Cobras, I'd have a set on it, too.

I really like them. I REALLY like the ability to hit from odd or off balance positions which I couldn't or couldn't do regularly without them.

I think of them as an extra layer of protection for my daily activities.

One of the best tools for improving your shooting. Also good for us 50+ people who have trouble seeing the sights.

I've got 'em on my 642. I've found that I shoot them better if I hold the gun out below chest level instead of up like I would if using the iron sights. I guess you would call it pointing instead of aiming.

I have a set of CT grips on a M36 that my wife uses. I think they are a great product.

A great training tool and useful in combat, but don't rely on them (batteries have a nasty habit of failing when needed most).

A great use is to UNLOAD the gun and practice point shooting. Before letting the grip get tight enough to activate the laser freeze, and then see where the laser points. A good way of testing your "natural" pointing aim.

Also good for dry firing while trying to keep the laser dot on target.

Best thing is they do not in any way negate the iron sights.

Also a consumer friendly company that stands behind its products.

Enjoy.
