Arf!

I always liked Boy George's description of Prince as "a dwarf who fell into a vat of pubic hair." Seems so descriptive.

For those who don't know, Boy George and Prince are bigtime singers of indeterminate gender who were famous and maybe English about 20 years ago or so. Hmm. Maybe Prince was unambiguously male. I forget. They were both pretty creepy. Sorta like Jim's hair. Creepy.

As a long time Trapper of Pubic Hares, I can tell you these pelts, if they are to have any value must be waxed. The meat however can be excellent table fare if taken in season....

There is another variety often seen South of the Border, called the Mexican Hairless also know as the Bahamian. The range of this subspecies appears to be speading northward, and appears to be content to breed and nest in the presence of man.... Perhaps QC will enlighten us about these.....

Pubic Hares can be easily decoyed using fast cars, syrupy drinks, diamond rings, Barry White albums and lots of money.... when they get close, a mouth call works best .... the sound is something similar to "PA-Toooowie"!

It's best to hunt them with one of these. (one is real, the other a replica). Make certain it's very sharp and remember your follow through.

Thanks DW, I'll take that as a compliment! Smiler
Yes, the bottom one is the real one although the top one could still do damage but would break if subjected to stress.
