I don't seem to see any results from the United Nations. I guess they are too busy studying the US racial predjuces, trying to end our 2nd Amendment Right and collecting millions from America for their substistance.

The UN likes publicity and to get results. Unfortunately, when the UN says something about the US, or wants to take away some of our rights, it makes front page news, and our government kow-tows to the UN and considers the proposals.
In the case of Russia, they could care less what the UN says or does, so therefore the UN can't get any positive press, so there is nothing in it for them. IMHO, of course.

The Russians have got Western Europe by the balls with their country-by-country piecemeal gas contracts. Nobody wants to upset the Russians and risk having their energy supply cut off. Most of the other countries in Asia and Africa don't really care what happens to Georgia because they have no self-interest there.

Hey now, don't be so judgmental.

The UN is going to hold hearings and will issue condemnations.

If only Kofi Annan was still heading up the UN!

He would protest most vigorously! Roll Eyes

The UN learned their lesson in Korea in 1950-53.

The UN delegates are FAR too busy hitting high end call girl services and expensing their bar tabs, to ever be bothered by something so pedestrian.
Along with the Russian's having a security council veto...
