I recently had the opportunity to travel to the Pennsylvania mountains for work. I noticed a lot of the houses and out buildings had stars hung on the front.
Why the stars? Even the guy with the star on the wall of his office couldn't tell me why. I may not sleep until I find out. ---------------------------------- "It riles them to believe that you perceive the web they weave, and keep on thinking free" The Moody Blues |

It is kind of like traveling through southwest Oklahoma and Northern Texas, everyone has butterflys on the house.
That guy must have been a hell of a salesman. bob ____________________________________________________ Build a man a fire and he will be warm for the night. But set a man on fire and he will be warm for the rest of his life. |

They are all over houses around RI as well. I have no idea if they signify something or if people just think it is a nice house adornment. I don't like the way they look so much.
Codified message for all alien implants. I think the humans are on to us. Abort "Star" location identifiers. Go back to pink flamingos on lawn immediately....end of transmission. I've been asking the same thing since visiting Eastern Oregon this summer. The stars were all over the place. Is it some secret society thing? Does it denote who's been taken over by the aliens? Did I miss the big star sale?
Somebody please answer this so I can sleep tonight. |

A look of traditional Americana that's making a comeback thanks to new makers creating the stars again.

I was told long ago that they were private insurance markers. Not just stars, but every insurer had their own specific logo. If the house caught fire, the fire department knew it was an insured blaze and that the then underfuned department would get paid for their efforts.
We took one of the community walking tours, probably 20 years ago and someone asked if they were just decorative. Around here they are made of cast iron and are aobut 8-12" across. The explanation the tour guide gave us could have been BS, but we all accepted it. Dick Burg Its quantity, not quality |

These are different from the traditional hex symbols?

wouldn't the flags burn too? Or are the flags fire retardant? _________________________________________________ When a problem arises, sometimes Sipowicz is on the way! |

The stars we are talking about match the five point barn star in the post above. I was in Eastern Oregon a few years ago and don't recall seeing them. On our last trip they were all over the place and all different sizes. I think it is an alien invasion thing. Notice no one is owning up to having one.

Sparky9, you were in my backyard and didn't tell me? Shame on you. The "Federalist Stars" signify "party homes" where loose women, free booze and gambling occur 24/7. ------------------------- No Brag, Just Fact! |
