Anyone there? Impressions?
I got there late Friday and stayed thru the drawing for the giveaway car. I thought the crowds were somewhat down from previous years. Also it appeared that some vendors decided not to attend, ie Corvette America.
The Auction was only on Fri night and not Sat, a disappointment for some.
All in all another good experience.
Anyone see that big block 67 that Pro Team had for $399,000? Only 3 made, triple black, vinyl top, all docs, etc.

Not there, but I was returning from D.C. on Sunday and when I pulled in for gas off Rt.81 near Carlisle, a middle-aged couple pulled into the station with matching 1957 Corvettes, both turquoise and white and absolutely gorgeous~he was driving the auto trans fuelie and she had the stick-shift standard model. Otherwise, you couldn't tell them apart!
Very cool, and nice folks, too.

By the way, ladder, where in NY are ya? I live near Syracuse.

always seemed like PA was a hoof from out here in PRK, even when i had my 65, going to Hot August nites in Reno was an ordeal. the big Good Guys show was just a few miles from me in Pleasanton this last weekend.

in 1 of my biggest fits of stupidity in my life i sold that beautiful car. only 10 years ago and i couldnt touch it for double what i sold it for

I had 65 Coupe, REAL knock offs, 327-350 HP numbers matching, teakwood telescoping wheel, black on black. had the factory chrome ball shifter set up for short throw , M21 4 spd. reverse lock out. orginal radiator and catch can.
oh yeah, that car was FUN to drive.

if i had kept it, i would have a built small black put in it (store the orignal block) with sidepipes installed and re-do the exterior to the orginal glenwood green and maybe upgrade the suspension and bigger brakes as advertised in the corvette mags.

Black Agnes, those 2 corvettes were "his and hers" identical 57's, except for the trannies. Their son also owned a 57 but it was red with white coves. The whole family was very warm and friendly.
I live in SE NY, bout 50 miles north of Ground Zero.
