Update:

I did check with the club yesterday about gun handling. Short version; eveything must be cased or holstered unless on the range. We will have at least 3 lanes togther and we can fondle and druel out on the line.

I was hoping that we would be able to handle firearms in the conference room, but for liability reasons this will not be allowed. In the future if this become a regular event, we can request to have a member of their staff present and we will be able to handle firearms outside of the range itself.

As far as what I plan on bringing:

My 627-2 featured on page 255 of the 3rd edition SCSW, my 66-5 3.25" barrel, my 686-5 4", probably my 17-6 6", and maybe my 625-6 5".

So far my only firm "commitment" is to bring my 4" 24-3 and a bunch o' 44 Special ammo. I haven't decided what else should come along for the ride. Some additional thoughts at this time are: 1946 vintage 4" 38/44HD, 2 1/2" 19-6, 2" 15-3, 581, 18-2, 3" 60 square butt, 431PD, 67-1, 1947 vintage 6" M&P.....

Heck, I'm even open to suggestions Smiler

I'll probably keep it down to four guns so I can carry it all into the club without injury Wink

This is indeed the fun part; I look forward to meeting everyone and sharing some good S&W times Big Grin

Might be able to sneak away from work for a bit. I don't know, that may be the first day of inventory!#*@! Have J, K, L and N frames and a few semi autos as well. Not sure what to bring if I get to come.

Well,
I'll try to be as in as I can be.
During the middle of the day will be the tough part as I do GUNBROKER sales for a local shop on Saturdays during (you guessed it) the middle of the day.
I'll strap on a small gaggle of goodies and hope to see you all there.

By the way, is it S&W only ?

Guys, this is very informal. Bring what you want. The point is more to meet one another and have a great afternoon.

I'd just like to say "Thanks!" to the mods for making this a sticky. I'm really looking forward to this. The caliber and quality of people here is far superior to one of our local sites which shall remain nameless, although I have to admit, it is better than it used to be.
So again, thanks for a great site and thanks for helping us with this event.

Hey! Got some good news today. My inventory begins on the 3rd and my manager suggested that I take the 2nd off so that I will be good and rested for the week. Woohoo! Guess I will be able to make it after all.

As I stated earlier, I will use my membership to get one other person in and I will pick up the range fees for a couple of other folks if you need any help in that area. I know a lot of you are spending a lot on gas to get here. Email me from my profile if you would like.

I will probably be there. I've had a trip planned to Oshkosh, WI for that time period (the EAA fly-in); however, it involves a couple of other guys, with all of us chipping in for fuel costs to fly the plane up and back, and avgas prices have become even more outrageous than auto gas, so we are currently considering whether or not it is in the budget. If that trip falls apart, I will run down from the mountains for a day or two to enjoy the meet and to "enjoy" the dry heat. Not sure what I'll bring, probably a K-22, a 15, a 586, possibly a K-38 and a 27, others possible, as well.

Here's a thought --- How about an "I'd like to shoot a __________ list." Those of us who may own a gun of interest to others may want to bring one along... I'd like to shoot a 317, for example. Somebody else may be interested in my Mag-Na-Ported 629, or whatever... A wish list doesn't mean any committment, just a wish...

Unless you can see Jesus in the blueing on that Lorcin, you may have a hard time getting any trades on that one.

I'm sorry, mine was a serious request. Roll Eyes
Such as I have a couple 696's, a commemorative 4 inch model 66 New York police and a model 28-2 4 incher that has the original box that I may trade for some other firearm.
That sort of thing.
