I have been seeing LOTS of nice bucks out the backdoor. Thought I'd better get the trail-cam back out there.

I put it up late afternoon Saturday and pulled the card today at 4pm---100+ pics already.

Shelled corn has a way of dragging in the deer.

There are AT LEAST three more larger bucks that we are hoping to see at the corn pile. With corn at $9.99/50lbs...I hope this won't take to long.

Here are a few pictures.

Bob

This young buck has some potential in a few years...

This guy (we call him Butch) was with us last season. He's got a lot of antlers...just not real symmetrical...

Here's Butch again checking out the trail-cam...

Here Butch is chowing down while another decent buck comes in from the rear, we call the smaller buck, Curly. Note his weird sharply curling (downward) left side tine...

Another with a better look at Curly's tine...

Butch does not like to share his food...

Stingy Butch again...

A doe with a couple fawn...

Another young buck...

How good are your eyes?

Thanks guys.

Bullseye Smith,
It's a crap shoot, but the heaviest traffic seems to be early AM and just before dark. Last night we were at the house just after dark and watched the flash go off every 30 seconds (which it's set on) so we had company right after dark.

When you put corn out...they can appear any time at all.

In that last pic, all the way left, there's another one peeking through the trees.

TNDixieGirl,
You got it! This would be a good picture to show new/inexperienced hunters to get their eyes moving up/down/around the terrain while hunting. Gotta keep scanning. Those big one's like to look a LONG time before they step into any opening.

Hermann,
It's an older Bushnell Model 11-9200
Trail Sentry 2.1mp. It's flash is kinda weak...but it does a decent job. I have modified the cam a bit (easy to do) to accept a large long-life rechargeable battery. It will go a couple weeks. I use a one or two gig SD Card and have built a case to mount the cam in so the battery and cam are out of the weather a bit.
