jim check out their web site and when the gf gets home you can tell her all about the place. been there a few time its about 45 min from my house

Ate a lot of madders, watched several DVD's (Ronin, The Ghost and Mrs. Muir, Snatch), watched several Alfred Hitchcock Hour programs on HULU, worked on a coupla books, played on the Internet, and listened to some music.

If ya'll don't know about HULU, you might want to check it out -- that way you can waste even more of your life on your 'puter. They have lots of old TV shows and some movies with not very annoying commercials at no cost. The quality/resolution isn't hi-def, but is decent. Most of the material is NBC/Fox/Universal. It's just been up and running since March. Here is a link to The Blue Max, an excellent flick that I also watched.

A completely unproductive, but a very pleasant weekend. Smiler

I worked friday night, and I had about 20 minutes left in the shift. I got a call to assist S.U. Public Safety and I made a DWI arrest, so I got out three hours late. Saturday I did some yardwork, and hung out with the family, and did another 10 hours of overtime, another DWI arrest. Today, I swam with the family, then went to a union sponsored clambake. Cool Came home, swam some more, watched some olympics. Tomorrow is another day off.

Saturday, cleaned out the garage and pulled out my old workbench. Moved in new workbench, about 50yrs old, built by a retired navy guy that I had grown up around. Very sturdy, with a compressor built in. Saturday night, take pills for back that hurt after moving workbenches around. Sunday, took kids to sunday school, did some grocery shopping, mostly fruits and veggies. Spent the afternoon with the kids, had dinner with the wife.

I ignored cutting the grass and devoted my time reloading more cartridges and ordering parts for upcoming projects.

Listened to the NASCAR race and reloaded another batch of ammo.

I did a reloading bench inventory and noticed I was running low on Unique pistol powder and ordered another 3 LBS. Now I should run out of bullets, primers, and powder at the same time.

Just worked out, then ate several Oreo cookies, had some diet Coke and fired up the laptop until I go to bed.
Nice weekend.

Where am I going to stash all this ammo...

have worked all weekend. 12 hour shifts, 7P to 7A. No major trauma's but asthma is starting to rear its ugly head higher. Did have a little 6 year old that tried his best to stop breathing. I take great offense when they try, that cause it makes me work way too hard in a short period of time. Show him the erro of his ways and got him stable enough to transfer to ICU.

I wil get home in the morning and find a nice glass of wine to unwind and a bit. I will be teaching this week so will not be able to play cops and robbers as much as I did last week.

Friday we had our neighbors over for smoked chicken, corn on the cob, baked potatoes & baked yams. Saturday I visited my daughter and then took my son out to lunch and to the guitar store so he could trade up his consignment sale to a bass guitar, and then we went to Barnes & Noble. Sunday, read some until the other neighbors stopped by in the afternoon on their Harley and then visited with them for the rest of the evening. All-in-all, it was very good.

My weekend started very early. Friday I flew a cross country delivering a new aircraft. Then flew one back. It was a good day for me I double dipped my fees. I came home early on Saturday morning four am.
I took a couple hour nap then went out checking around for some vintage guns. I lucked out and purchased a couple firearms. Then about noon went to the woodward dream cruise. I spent Saturday night cleaning up my purchases. Sunday I went to the range. Came home early picked up the family and went boating. We spent the day and early evening on the water. We stopped for lunch then dinner then headed home. It was a very long day. All I accomplished on Sunday is relaxing and burning a lot of fuel. Damn at the marina most of the boaters are just staying at the marina. Partying at the docks to save on fuel costs. I burned over 200 gallons of fuel. When you open up the throttles the fuel gauge just keeps going down..

Moved my youngest into LSU. Am at the age where the moms are more fun to watch than the incoming freshmen. Went to middle daughters apt & cut a whole summer's worth of grass in the back yard. Went to bookstore and spent north of $800 on books for the two daughters. Son (who graduated but still lives in Baton Rouge) came over to help after the fact and brought a six pack of Red Stripe-which he made me pay for. Before he left he got a free meal and a C note. All in all what with the other stuff wife brought for the dorm room & dresses for rush and groceries until food service opens up and whatever she slipped the boy on her own and all the other assorted bullshit that I don't know about (nor do I want to for that matter Mad)-I figure this past weekend cost me around $2500 Roll Eyes
WTF-it's only money
I pity the first client this morning-he's gonna take it up the chute Big Grin

Had to work Sat. but it was a good day. One of the Parks I supervise has a special event that has been going on for 115 years. On the way up there a vehicle in front of me crossed the center line and headed for the far side ditch, corrected at the last mintute. Thought I had an early Sat morning DWI so lit it up and pulled it over. A little old lady who had fallen asleep at the wheel. Had her get out and walk around the car a few times but I think it scared her so bad she may not sleep for a while.

A small park on the Missouri line, Mammoth Spring is home to one of the worlds largest springs (9 million. Gals per hour). The event is the Old Soldiers and Sailors reunion which started as a reunion of the blue and gray. A few years in the folks decided they needed a cannon so the War Department sends them a rifled siege gun tube, took 8 men to lift it off the boxcar. It was put on a homeade carriage and fired morning and night during the reunion for several years. When it was retired it was put on a concrete stand where it remained for years.

It was refurbished and placed on a reproduction field carraige and moved to
a memorial plaza with intrepretive signage and recordings. It was dedicated Sat. with speechifying and a salute by two reproduction CW cannons and color guard from the VFW.
It now serves as a fitting memorial to those who served so long ago and ever since keeping our country free.

The gun does point toward the north to help us remember the war of northern agggresion. If your ever traveling by on U.S 63 stop by and see it.
