Then, leaving Mom behind at the Knickerbocker, cab to near southside, sibs and I catch up-and-coming jazz trumpeter Cory Wilkes at Andy's. Sunday AM, stroll a few blocks through elegant old neighborhoods to hustle and bustle of Rush Street --- brunch at Bistro Zinc, then curbside adieus sib Susan and I off to Field Museum of Natural History to see "Sue", the best of the world's T-Rex fossils, the Tsavo lions, and a special exhibit on Polynesian Isles, from whence came my sister's adopted child. Thence, delayed flight home to Phoenix. Had to wind down today by driving to Tucson, Sierra Vista, stopping briefly at Coronado National Monument, lunch at Bisbee Grille, business meeting in Tombstone, quick stops at Whetstone, Vail, then home to Mesa. Otherwise, an uneventful few days...
