...well almost! I bought this rifle today because I have been looking for a 22LR rifle that was more fun to shoot than my 10/22. It's made in Germany by German Sport Guns and is imported by American Tactical Inc.

Here's the deal---it is an exact replica of the MP-5! Both in looks and operation. I went straight from the gun store where I bought it for $499 to the range. I brought along all my old 22 ammo that's been hanging around to see what worked best. It fired all 450 rounds of several different types of 22LR without a single FTF, FTE or any other malfunction.

Here's a link to the ATI site:

If you are looking for something economical to shoot - you have to try this!

I put together a low cost EoTech/M4-10/22 for my son to practice "quick reaction" drills. He is in the National Guard and will be in Iraq this winter. (On the other hand I think I might lust after a GSG-5!!!)

Having handled and shot the GSG-5 several times, I have put it on my 'most-wanted' list.

Big time fun with relatively-inexpensive ammo...

I just picked up one a few days ago but haven't yet had a chance to go shoot it. I lucked out actually. A guy had ordered one from my favorite gunshop and then called like 30 minutes before I stopped by and said he didn't want it anymore.

Well I walk in and spot a mp5 looking thing sitting behind the counter and ask to take a look at it. As soon as I picked it up I started grinning and the guy behind the counter who I've dealt with for over 7 years said "I knew you'd like it" anyway, I stuck it on hold and went and got some cash and came back and got it. The funny thing is the guy behind the counter called me an hour later and said the guy called back and asked if it was still there.

I paid $470 for mine.

I'm still trying to acquire a low claw mount for mine to put my CMore on.

I have one here as a rental gun for the range. It runs like a top if you clean it every 1000 rounds or so.They are kinda hard to get and we have only had a couple for sale.Just got a pistol version in yesterday.Good luck,Ricci.

When you think you have done everything you can do,you can still do a little more.

they are a neat gun, but trust me, they are not not even close to a MP5(or 94 or SP89 or any HK) in build or operation, they do look like a MP5 but thats about the only relationship

How're the groups at fifty yards?

Is it only pretty or can it cook too?

I'd be very interested in seeing one, seems like a decent price.

Don't know about 50 yds yet, but at 25 my group of 20 rounds yesterday was within 3". That was with no rest, holding gun while standing.

I'd be concerned about magazine availability and cost.

Yes, that is an issue. They are available, but a little pricey - $39-$49 are the prices I have seen.

I bought one last month $499, - what a blast to shoot... I have two mags, plenty for me....seems like there are more available - paid $30 each. Not going into combat with it.

Great quality and a real head turner at the range. At $11.4 for a box of Fed 550, you can't go wrong!

I highly recommend one. Enjoy~~~!

Hey - Headknocker - head's up... you will like this one!
