Good! If it were me I'd let my husband know the next time he missed the toilet and hit the bathroom floor in the middle of the night he'd be on his way to a no kill shelter, the Holiday Inn.
So what's going to happen with the older cat, Binki, since it was intolerable for Felix to be Baptizing the berber.

I won't punish her. She's freaking old and is on thyroid medicine and pukes up hairballs. I just clean it up. I don't hold grudges against cats.

I just got a chance to read this post.
Barb I'm so happy things may work out okay. I had a cat that hated my ex and would wiz here and there and just drove me nuts. I should've gotten the message and kicked the ex out, instead I confined the lil guy to the first floor bathroom a lot trying to re-educate him on the proper use of his nice clean unused littler box. He eventually came around but then got sick, passed away of cancer. I still miss him very much. He had more personality than most people I know.
Best wishes for you & your fur family.

What's a vermin cat doing in the house in the first place???
Get rid of both the cats and get a loving hound that will be part of the family!
At least if the hound slips up and pees in the house, he is to cute and lovable to whip.

You are correct, Sir!

I am an animal loving person. I have been around almost every type of critter that walks, crawls, swims or flies at one point or another.

Across the board, cats are the most devious, deceitful, despicable creatures I have ever met. I can't even think of a strong enough word that appropriately conveys my dislike of the bastards.

I find them just the opposite. Pound for pound (from house cats to tigers) they are the finest land-based predators on the planet.

They are also, loving, affectionate, entertaining, beautiful, empathetic, and great judges of character.

When my cats meet a new person they don't like I take a good second look also at that person. Often the cats have better first judgment than I.

Barb, glad you got your kitty back. Cats know when you rescue them and they never forget...

Hey Barb thought I'd tell you something you might already know. We have a cat that was doing the same thing, took him to the vet and it was a kidney thing. Put the cat on iams low ph cat food and all has been well since. They also make a spray that you can put on the areas that you know he has pottied and if they get the urge they won't do it. The low ph food fixed bristol up. Thanks Larry

Barb,

Glad to hear that your tribe is to be together once again.

As is his style, I think that Onomea has accurately and tactfully assessed the situation.

Alphonso is also correct when he says that our feline friends are "great judges of character". (Apparently, a couple of posters here have been judged sometime in their past and found to be wanting) Wink

While we are on the subject of cats, I have to tell you a cat story.

Day before yesterday I woke at 5:30 am to hear a great howling and growling and scrapping just outside the sliding door to my bedroom.

I jumped out of bed and flipped on the outside light. My cat, Kunta Kitty (think Roots) was doing battle with TWO foxes. That's TWO foxes and he was more than holding his own. He ran both foxes off and came in to the house without a scratch.

Not bad for a 12 or so year old cat. He hopped on the bed, curled up next to me as if nothing had happened, and purred...

Thank you all for your well wishes and assessments! Felix is curled up on the couch, none the worse for wear. Sadie the dog was curious about his new smells. Binki said, "How the hell did you get back here!"

Good thing I don't hold grudges against husbands either. Wink

A cat won't get your newspaper, but a dog won't catch your mice. They each have their place. Cats are unbelievably intelligent.

Don't carry a gun because of what may happen today. Carry because once, just once, and at the least likely time imaginable, you may run into the worst monster you ever could imagine. Be their worst nightmare and resist them with all the stubbornness that our pioneer ancestors posessed. To do less is to be unamerican.
