There has been a great deal of debate around the new .327 Federal Magnum Cartridge, but, truth be told, we all know that it can "outpower" the .38 S&W Special in any permutation of the older cartridge. That said...

Question:
If S&W made a 5" bbl, SS, "J" frame .327 Fed. Mag.. Would you buy and carry it?

Choices:
Yes, in a heartbeat! (good round, plenty of lighter loads, great versatility!)
No, I can't see the the use of the cartridge.
If it didn't have the lock, I'd tend to buy it.
It may be a good round, but I don't want to laod for another cartridge!

Heaven knows I don't need another cartridge to load, but I think I'd jump on this one . . . if the lock went away.

I would want two, one with a 5 inch barrel and one with a 3 inch barrel both with sights(adj). If they made it in a six shot snubby no sights (fixed)in Sc I would buy that too, it would replace my 431 on my permit now. I sure hope they find a way to make it a light weight snubby and still keep it a six shot.If its only a five shot I wont buy it.
