how about a .22 version of the much sought-after Model 66 with three inch tube? If they played with the barrel contour a bit, it could be made to handle just like the 357.

Get a 617 6 shot or 10 shot cyl. and have thebarrel cut down to 3" length. It's the K-frame .22 LR

I like that idea..it would be perfect for around the farm pest problems. I'm not a huge fan of buying a new gun and having to do semi-major "surgery" on it to get what I want...I'll stick to 1911's for that joy... Perhaps Lew Horton could persuade S&W to do a run of them? Uncle Larry knows,he's here to help...Trust me! Make a Fast Friend, Adopt a Retired Greyhound! |

If S&W offers the re-issue Model 63 "Kit" gun with the 8 shot cylinder with a 3" Bbl. I'll buy one ASAP. In fact that's a great idea, make the 5" Bbl. version in .22 Magnum
or would that be a 651? Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light. - Dylan Thomas |

I'd love a 3" Model 63 eight-shooter
