Would have to be a five shot gun. I'll buy any S&W 10mm.

I fear that the "K" frame will not handle a steady diet of the 10mm's 37,500 PSI max loads. The "L" frame might take it, but the "K" frame would likely be battered to pieces. JMHO,

Kinda unrealistic to ask for a K-frame in a bore larger than .357

It might work in .40 S&W as a 5 shooter on the L-Frame platform but not in 10MM due to pressure - there's a reason S&W has never offered a .41 mag L-frame but they did do a .44 Special so there would be room for the .40 S&W.

This week-end I was shooting a match with a guy who was shooting a Moon clipped L frame in .40 S&W (titanium cylinder). Looks like a pretty good IDPA gun. I can not remember what model # he said it was, but apparently not many were produced.

model is a 646.... produced for s short period of time catering to competition shooters... all of the sudden IDPA changes some rule or something, pretty much killing the 646... there are still some out there and they are SWEET shooters.... I love mine

How many 646s were made -- and what kind of prices are they bringing now?

Didn't someone convert one of these into a 10mm a while back? What's the weight difference in this gun and a 610 -- approximately?

I got mine for 475 which is a good price... Im not sure what they are bringing now though... I have heard f someone converting one into a 10mm but Im not sure that the L frame can handle too many 10mms... THe 10mm is on an N frame while of course the 646 is an L frame with a titanium cylinder.646 with 4 inch barrel is about 38 ox and a 610 with 4 inch barrel is about 50 oz

My 646 is a full pound lighter than a 4" 610. I think converting a 646 to 10mm is borderline at best for the gun and shooter.

The 646 loaded down to 120 power factor makes a really neat Limited ICORE gun, but it no longer is competitive in IDPA since all clip guns were thrown into ESR with the 610s and 625s at major power. No matter how big and tough you are, the major power in a 34oz gun slows you down.
