I too am one who would like to see the S&W M&P in 10mm. The S&W 1911 may be a nice consideration also. The S&W 1006 is a very accurate pistol.

10mm is the caliber for me, I am tired of hearing about the 45ACP, this and that.
I have truely enjoied the triditional double action, double action decockers and double action only features of the 3rd generation series pistols, other manufactures don't come close.
I have the complete series of the 10XX pistols and wish for more conversion barrels for these great pistols, The best has been the 40S&W for my 1006 and I am soon to try out the 9X25 Dillon conversion for it also.

I shoot my pistols on a regular basis, that's what they are for!

Yesterday i talked to a salesman working at the local gun store about the S&W 1006. He said that in the past s omany years he has worked there he has seen only 1 1006 come into the store. The store has been there maybe 4 or 5 years so the 1006 seems to be hard to get. That should tell S&W something as well as reading all of the threads dedicated to the 10mm and the S&W guns that shoot it

I'd like to see the Performance Center come out with a small run of 1076's with the Briley barrel and Briley titanium bushing!!
