I would buy sight unseen a S&W Officer size 1911. Right now some compact 945's are being produced (the S&W Shooting Sports Center has some), and they are very nice I'm sure, but I just want a steel Officer model.

There's LOTS of folks out there making them in just about ANY combination our twisted little imaginations can conjure anymore Dilbert!
Question is, what comfort level your bank account has? Mild to wild, $800 to $3000, and up! May not carry an S&W logo at this time, but it'll still be what you seek... |
