I just can not get used to striker fired weapons. Having been a S&W 3rd Gen. shooter for 25 years, and loving the feel of the new M&P, here's what I would like to see:
M&P with DA/SA trigger Decocker only (not a safety decocker) Optional Magazine safety. Pete T. (aka Ted1Trading) SWCA #1591 |

Pete T. - I'm with you on this one. I would like to see an M&P that has the DA/SA action of the S&W 99.

I fired a FN FNP9 this weekend. It is a polymer frame gun, with a da/sa trigger and a decocker.
Too bad S&W can't offer this configuration in the M&P. Pete T. (aka Ted1Trading) SWCA #1591 |

ted1trading - Great idea! Make in a Commander size 45, and I'll take two!
The one additional thing I would add, is a metal, one piece trigger, ala 4513/4516. Enlarge, or recurve the trigger guard if they have to. I don't like the trigger as it currently is designed. Way too gritty as well, for me. It's such a good idea, and makes so much sense........S&W will never do it.  Regards 18DAI.Model 19 Combat Magnum. Pete, the FN is a great gun. Grab one of those because S&W is unlikely to make a DA/SA M&P.
