Hi everyone.Big Dog made a custom set of CS9 grips and they are on thier way to me.
This looks like the answer to the factory hogue grips and thier tendency to kling and print out when in concealled carry mode. When they get here I will post pics.Keep in mind he made them without the benefit of a CS9 to work with so they might need a little tweaking, but judging from the pictures of his CS45 grips I have the utmost confidence they will be perfect right out of the box......Stay Tuned and God Bless.....Mike PS here is a link to the thread with pictures of the CS45 grip he made http://smith-wessonforum.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/520103904/m/1071027803/p/2

Have the grips. They fit well over the firearm but the screw holes to mount them are in too low a position.I let him know in a email and am awaiting his reply......Will keep everyone informed as to the progress made........Stay tuned.......Mike

if this is a custom made grip out of a factory plastic grip,

and based on the link you provided,

its a grip pin used to line up on the frame and not the screw holes on the hogue grip adapter.

pics!

Cruiser,
I am here and have been waiting on you report. Please take some pics and email them to me asap. Remember these do not screw on the pin on in the bottom hole that has the pin in it now.
Waiting on the pics
G

Mike ,there are 2 sets of holes. the top ones are screwed on the Hogue grips. On my grips you dont screw them on. They pin on through the bottom hole.
No e-mail yet.
Thanks
G

E-mail returned. You dont need to pay a gunsmith to do this. It is a very easy process. Did you get the instructions I sent with the grips?

BIG DOG,
I have been following these posts because now that I see there are alternatives to the hogue
grips,
I am considering a 4040PD and putting delrin grips on it.
What grip do start with for the 4040PD?
I may have one in stock that I can use with a little guidance.
Thanks in advance,
BM1

it sure looks like a 3913 sized frame.

http://gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=103655604

I looked them up on SW website

4040 part number for hogues 27644
3913 part number for hogues 13010

I would call SW and see if they are the same grip, just different part numbers. that would be your info to see if factory delrins will work

It is a 3913 size frame. I have delrins from a 3913 on mine now. It works fine. The delrins are nice and slim, but they definitely require you to maintain a very firm grip durring recoil.
