I own and shoot a 952-1 (blue finish) the 952-2 is the same gun in stainless steel. A freind shoots a 952-2. I belive the S&W 952 series are the most accurate out of the box 9mm handguns produced at almost bargain basement price - hand fitted guns cost $. The trigger is not quite as good as the old Model 52's in 38 Special but quite close, The 952's are superbly accurate, a great trigger, and easy to clean with a lifetime warranty - what more can you desire?

I love my 952-1.It will spoil you for other guns.I was at the shot show I think three years ago and the Smith guys told me they had stopped making the blue guns and they had no more to sell. When I got back to the shop I found three and ordered them.Sold two and kept one for me.It's about as good as a stock target handgun gets.If you can't shoot a 952 then you can't shoot.Ricci.

When you think you have done everything you can do,you can still do a little more.

I got my 952-2 in January... (after reading much on this forum).

It is amazing, and you will shoot better than you can shoot with it... if that makes any sense. Eeker

I have a 952-2 that was a pure shooter out
of the box.

Sometimes the barrel can be stubborn lining uo
with the bushing but it is easy to clean.

You will not be disappointed with a 952.

Unless you are prepared to purchase one of the 952-2s, don't even hold it in your hand. If you do you will not be satisfied until you own one. They are the most accurate, beautifully made pistols available in this country. Mine is a joy to shoot, and as Tsquared states the 52 has a better trigger, but not by much. Get one and enjoy shooting it, you'll never regret it.

Thanks for all the info. Does anyone have a Sig X-5 L1 for direct comparison? I know one is single stack, and the Sig is double, but overall how do they compare? Thanks makilly
