If you want a S&W, then the 4516, or lighter weight 4513 would fit the bill. Both are traditional DA, reliable and accurate compact 45's. Both are 7+1 capacity.

I tried many compact 45's before I settled on the 4516. A close second choice, for me, was the SA Colt Defender. Very reliable and accurate as well.

Another you might want to check out is the Glock 30. My partner has one and swears by it. Hope this helps. Regards 18DAI.

Model 19 Combat Magnum. Everything you need in a revolver, and nothing you don't.

The bargain model brothers of the M-4513 are the blued/alloy M-457 & stainless/alloy M-457S.

My M-457S is 100% reliable, has a sweet trigger and accurate to boot.

These models only have the left side safety buy adding a ambi safety would not be a big problem.

I have a two tone 457 with extremely low mileage on it and might be willing to give it up for a very fair price if you are seriously interested. Send an e-mail if interested: mgenerallo@gmail.com
PS: this one has the steel dual spring guide rod and not the plastic.

I carry a glock 30 with an ankle holster. I was skeptic about it at first but after going to the range I have no doubt this gun will work for you. I just like double action pistols.
