Some one please jog my memory. Is the 439 the one with the squared off trigger guard?
One for sale local and I was never too crazy about that particular arrangement. Thanks. |

All the 439's that I have seen had the rounded trigger guard. I've never seen a 439 with a squared off trigger guard.
Now it's stainless cousin, the 639 had a squared off trigger guard. Good Luck. S&WCA # 2045 |

I think you're possibly thinking of a S&W 469 which has a square trigger guard or a S&W 3906. |

According to Jim Supica's Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson, in 1985 the squared triggerguard became standard on the 439. I've never seen one, so they may be scarce.
