The Trijicon website lists nightsights for the 3913 at $155. That's absurd! Is there another model that I'm not seeing? What would it cost to send that thing in to have them installed? Almost as much as I paid for the gun!
You can send just your slide to Novaks for night sights. That way you do not have to ship it overnight saving lots of $$$. I did 2 of my S&Ws that way and one came bac with the sights spot on for POA/POI, the other needed about 20 minutes on the range to adjust the windage with a little plastic hammer.

Thanks, but I just went to the Novack page. It's no cheaper than Trijicon, and maybe even a bit more expensive. Novack wants $145 for the sights, $12 shipping, plus installation fee, and I don't know how much that is. Trijicon will do it for $189 installed. Since I'm sending in a slide only, I don't have to overnight it.
S&W night sights require a larger Novak style sight due to the mill cuts. S&W gets almost $185 plus shipping for the two parts for a third generation. The ones Trijicon sells are their own version, one off from a Novak. While I don't like them as much, Meprolite does make a cheaper alternative. Trijicon will install in your sights but because it's custom work, it actually costs even more. The best way, for third generation semi's is to find a pair of night sights on the forum or ebay that have lost their luster and send them to Trijicon for vial replacement. That's $56 for a set for the 3913.
