There was a recent thread, here http://smith-wessonforum.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/520103904/m/1951026062 and from this I would like to start a list of people who would for sure buy a set of grips for thier CS9.

I would like to first wait at least 10-14 days to get a good idea of how many people actually want a set of grips. Please reply here in the thread saying you would be willing to purchase a set of grips for your CS9 if we can get them made. Please ONLY post a reply if you want a set of grips so it's easier to keep track of how many people are interested.

Once we have a list with a for-sure number of potential buyers, I'll contact a grip maker and explain what we're looking for, and how many sales they can count on. We all seem to agree that we want as thin a grip as possible regardless of material, in either black or a dark brown, and checkering (maybe the maker can offer a smooth set also).

I'll start again with Eagle Grips and Ajax grips, but also if any of you can list a grip maker that we should try list them here as well. Ideally I'd like to call, say we have X amount of people who want to buy these grips, and if they say yes I imagine they would want the money up front. The easiest way would be for each individual person to contact the maker, and pay. I'm guessing the grips will cost at least $50, but may run up around $100 because of the work making a "new" grip.

Well, hopefully we can get enough people to say they want a set of nice thin concealment grips for thier CS9 and get something going. THANKS!

Hangs up on clothes and makes concealment somewhat more difficult. No doubt it's a good stock for shooting, though.

Shot-placement is king. Adequate penetration is queen. Everything else is angels dancing on the heads of pins.

Guys I'm not trying to be a jerk, but if we could please keep the posts about who wants grips, or makers to look into I'd appreciate it. As stated in the first post I'm trying to keep it simple, so its easier to keep track of who is interested, thanks. Wink

But so far, and correct me if I'm wrong, if I include people with with interest from the above linked thread I have the following people down...

josp, aspman1, rdebert, deanc, and wyo-man?

Count me in on a set.

Maybe a little less draggy on clothes, no swell or hump. Wood or rubber, preferable dark brown or black.

deanc

I am in for at least 1 set..possibly 2. Would be interested in a set with either a nice wood grain or simple black.

Count me in for two pairs...ideally wood...ideally the same profile and swell as the Nill Sig 232 grips imho the best grip profile available.....but i will settle for two pairs whatever the thickness or shape. Great idea to approach one of the not so big makers.

interesting grip style aspman1. kinda reminds me of my 39-2 grip, having a slight palm swell.

Shjoe-Don't send the money anywhere for now. We first need to get a good count of how many people want these "proposed" grips so we can offer a maker a minimum number of sales.

So for now, what I have is: wyo-man 1, deanc 1, rdebert 1 or 2, shjoe 2, josp 1, aspman 2, and Bob79 2. That is a total of 10 sets of grips for sure.

Let me ask you all this...what would you think if I put this thread up on www.thehighroad.org to try and get more people? I could link it right to this thread, and maybe we'll even get more forum members too. Let me know what you think, thanks.

*Edited to add Wyo-man's 1 set of grips. Sorry about that Big Grin
