Shjoe-I have no idea, I don't even know what Corian is.

Seems to me though we'll probably have a tough enough time getting them made out of typical grip material. I haven't gotten one single response on the high road site from anyone saying they want some grips.

Does anyone else know any other resources for locating others who want slimmer CS9 grips? The more people we get the better off we are. Because right now we've got 10 pairs accounted for, and at say $70 (just picked that #) a piece thats only $700 for a grip maker. I don't know maybe a smaller company will be happy making 10 grips?

I'd just like to get as many people on board with this thing as possible.

Bob79,
You might post the question on: www.thefiringline.com in the Semiauto forum.

bob79 - i believe that corian is a man made composit that is used for kitchen counter tops. comes in a variety of colors and may be durable enough for grip material. If i can find some, i may experiment with it. keep up the good work, i think that you and the group are on to somthing here.

Agent 86-Thank you for getting in on this. That puts us up to 11 grips for sure, and maybe 12 because a member at the high road said it depended on the cost.

Shjoe-I will certainly ask about corian, it can't hurt.

OK, I'll put this up on the firing line as well.

I'd buy a set, preferably checkered wood.

OK guys this is great, 13 for sure. Thanks for posting here. With the "maybe" from the highroad that is possibly 14 pairs of grips. The holidays are coming up and everyone's busy, plus I want to give it one more week to see if we can get more people. So, for now I'll plan on next week calling some grip makers.

Well done Bob .... i think we may get a nibble from a grip maker at last...i'm sure there are other CS9 owners out there just waiting in the wings to see if we find a maker and how the grips turn out .... come on guys register your interest here .... the more interest the better...i'm sure a good set of wood grips will finish off what is already a great pistol.

Thanks for the kind words Aspman. I hope we do get more people who say they want a pair. I really love this gun, its just small enough to conceal easily, but big enough to give you the feel and accuracy of a larger gun. I've given up on the small pocket 9mms, they just seem to have too many issues.

Slimmer grips would make this gun perfect for me. Its funny because the grip size on the CS9 w/ factory Hogues is almost the exact same width around as a 3rd generation double stack 9mm with the factory grips. I just think it was silly of S&W to not offer a slimmer alternative grip.

You can count me in. To me, the best grips for the gun would be Smith delrins shaped to fit the contours of the CS9. A few guys on this board have made their own for the CS45 I think. As much as I generally like the feel and idea of wooden grips, for this gun, some sort of plastic is the way to go. Ultra-thin and light-weight grips would suit the gun. This all being said, you can count me in to purchase a set of whatever aftermarket grips you are able to get built for the CS9.
