Well I finaly got all the stuff I needed to bob the frame, still need to blend the frame with the MSH some more to get rid of the last hint of the original hole. For now this will do, it feels so amazing my thick palms just melt right around this baby.

Heres a before and after of it, I'll try to get some better pics of it tomarrow.

Looks good. How easy was it to work the scandium alloy frame?

It was pretty easy we cut most of it off with a mill, used a bastard file to get it close to the MSH, a smooth file to get it the rest of the way down, and 400 grit paper to get it smoothed out. There doesn't seem to be much difference in the scandium alloy and normal aluminum as far as working on it goes.

I've only read of 1 other bobtail attempt on the scandium frame and that individual said that the frame was really hard. IIRC, he was using hand tools instead of a mill.

Ya it is a little bit harder, I guess if I were using a hacksaw I may have noticed more of a difference, I was also using brand new nicholson files which made the file work pretty easy.

Just took it across the road and shot it all I can say is WOW, it feels so much more comfortable to shoot. The recoil just feels so much more controlable and the sights seem to line right back up after every shot where as it used to point a little bit high for me.

Great looking gun and I love the grips. Where does one find those?

I got them from gungrips.net they were a special order and took about a month to get em but it was better than cutting my old grips down.
