It looks like one of these, except it has had the rear sight replaced and the safety ground down (possible DAO conversion).

Nice a DAO Shorty 40. Are you able to double strike?

Whenever I see these DAO guns which have neither a safety or a decocker, I wonder why the slide hole was even made, only to be plugged.

PPCSHOOTER,
In the first picture,
Why did you photoshop out the Model# instead of the Serial# and then leave it on the box label ?
Nice looking gun by the way.
I show that "Product Code" (SKU) 170061 in my listing as a "Shorty 40 Mark III A".
Also the "Bar Code" (UPC) as 02188 70061 9.

Have you seen many PC autos from the early/mid 90's with Model numbers?
Not sure when they started, nor if it's universal, but that gun was made back in 1995, most all of them back then were not model marked.

Sorry All,
I had a brain fade asking about the model# on a Performance Center gun.
I should have known better, I have three P.C. guns myself.
And, as a matter of fact, my model 3566 has no model markings on it at all,
other than the barrel hood saying "356 TSW Performance Center".
The 952-1 is frame marked and the 945 is a "BILLBOARD"
